Server made us feel rushed. Food was fair. The "SUPER" Burrito was about the same size as a Taco Bell burrito.

Some of the best Hispanic food I've had in a long time. A weekly tradition!

Always good food . Going to start checking my card to see if over charged but don’t think I am. But out of Curiosity how many people in Powell use a gun instead of a fork to eat? You aren’t going there to stay all day . Eat and leave

The worst place to eat ,Had horrible service we asked for a drink and we never receive refills my ticket was like $32.19 and I checked my bank account they took $40 and some change so one of the servers or somebody at the crabs razor wrote to my workout of a teal and put a tip on there for the service and the service was horrible my wife had to get her own to go stuff for sale and the service was not good and the food was horrible like it was just sitting in a warmed up and gave it to us and I just don’t feel like they treated us right in the overcharge me it was like my ticket was like $32 and they took out my bank account wait $40 and some change

Best guac I ever tasted. Their chips and guacamole are a must. They are not stingy with their pours either. After a couple margaritas I was finished. Burritos are yum yum.

Ordered combo, was amount was $8.00 plus soda, wanted beans and white cheese with meal. They charged as ala carte, $3 more when should have been on combo plate, First and LAST time there, $13.00 for what I ate was Not worth coming back. Way over priced, there are better deals elsewhere.

I stopped by one Saturday with a girlfriend and we decided to have a beer and some chips and salsa we were pleasantly surprised to find they had a couple of beers for .99 after 3 pm so we ordered some bean dip and a couple of beers, bean dip was great however the waiter kept coming back and asking did we want to order food we kept politely saying no then left feeling somewhat pressured to order more food..anyway told another friend about it and we went the next Saturday got a waitress who was borderline rude bc we just wanted a couple of beers, chips and bean dip , she actually said are u just going to have beer and the dip? We looked at each other a little taken aback and said yeah is that ok? She was clearly not happy long review but hey El Rey don't advertise a special on beer if u don't really want anyone to drink it or have a minimum food purchase if it pisses u off if people just want to stop in for a couple of beers

El Rey has really great food, but they have posted No Guns Allowed, so I do not eat there anymore. I have a carry permit, I am not a bad guy, and do carry for protection, especially since I am a female. Why they want to have a weapon free zone is beyond me. A No Guns Allowed sign has never stopped the bad guy yet. El Rey's made their choice to be gun free. I had to make my choice to give up their great food. Maybe one day they will change their way of thinking and remove the sign.

If you live in North Knoxville;you must come eat at El Rey in the Powell shopping center.I had to stop eating drive through and hamburger joints because my diabetes and lack of mobility. The Chief has created a special veggie meal that is great. If you like Shrimp,Portabella mushrooms, and zucchini, and Yellow squash w/ grilled onions and a few green peppers it is awesome.I go there often and wish you can experience my little secret paradise to relax and really feel welcome and wanted.

The best Pablano rellano! Flan is excellent. Chimichanga wonderful. Traveled and stopped at many Mexican restaurants, but this one supersedes the rest. Staff is friendly and efficient. Clean also!
