We had a really great experience at Seoul House and I wanted to recommend the restaurant. After passing by the restaurant on Pecan every day going to work, my boyfriend and I decided to stop in and find out what Seoul House is all about. The sign on the billboard advertises their fish dishes and Mexican dishes. We went in and were served by the owner and chef who was extremely friendly and welcoming. We felt like she really cared about making sure we liked what we ordered and had a good experience. When I go to most restaurants in the Valley I feel like they only want my money and don't care about giving good service! Not so with Seoul House.

We had never had any Korean food before in our lives and asked what the most famous Korean dish was, we told the owner/chef Grace what flavors we are in to, and she recommended the Barbeque Beef and Barbeque Pork or the item Be Bim Bob, # K6 on the menu. It was soooooo good! The meat was flavored deliciously, nice and tender, good seasoning, and you get not just the main food item but several small plates of side dishes that you can either eat separatly or add into the Be Bim Bob (a rice dish with meat, veggies, and some other yummy things). The food came out to the table Super Fast! You're not going to be waiting around forever for the food to be ready.

They also had a lot of lunch specials on the menu with Mexican food, lots of different fish dishes and a lot of different caldos soups. The fish dishes looked good (I saw not just regular shrimp cocktail but octopus cocktail too) as did the Mexican items. I think I also saw sushi on the menu.

The prices are VERY reasonable and you get a lot of food for the price. What matters to me is that I also got good service at Seoul House on top of the good food. From talking with Grace the chef we found out that Seoul House was the first Korean restaurant in McAllen.

I definitely recommend Seoul House. We were unsure about trying Korean food at first, but the food and the good service made it well worth it. I'll be making Seoul House a regular restaurant here in the Valley.
