Traveling thru Tooele and decided to google a breakfast diner and Jims Family Restaurant came up with 4.5 stars. The staff was polite and the food was good, can't go wrong with pancakes and waffles. Although she got my order wrong on the meat she replaced it immediately. Table service was normal however, I had a problem with the flatware which I found to be the cheapest model, and found the edges very sharp and uncomfortable to eat my meal. We had to wait for our receipt as we couldn't find the waitress so we paid it to the cashier. While waiting, we couldn't help but notice how this wait helper cleaned the table across us. It's quite obvious at this Covid times, cleanliness is a priority in most restaurants. She proceeded to wipe the table and all the large crumbs into the floor! Really? Then used the same cloth to wipe the seats of the chairs too. As we exit out, I also noticed the rest of the tables having crumbs and food on the floor. Mind you there weren't children in this restaurant so we can't use that as an excuse. However, I would suggest that the management retrain their bus help to collect the crumbs on the table in the cloth rather than disregard it on the floor. Sanitation is always key in running a restaurant. It surely doesn't compare to the other great reviews of how good the food is. Our food was good but gives reason to know how clean the restaurant procedures are in the kitchen.
