Every town should have a great breakfast place, but then world peace would be nice, too.
However, in scenic Newport, the Family Recipe restaurant provides great breakfast until noon. Furthermore, it has one wall as a shrine to Newport’s most prominent citizen- professional wrestling legend Paul “Butcher” Vachon.
Family Recipe has great home fries, classic corned beef hash, French Toast befitting a town on the Quebec border, and warm and friendly service.
The owner is a friend of Paul and Dee Vachon, who are regular customers.
But even if you aren’t a fan of “rasslin”, you won’t find a better breakfast anywhere in Northern Vermont.
You could tell them that Butcher sent you, but if they realize you are lying, you might find yourself in a headlock.
