We have been going to Ali Baba's as a group of women for Wednesday night dinner outs many times. My last couple of visits I had ordered mild. When tried by others at the table everyone agreed the food given was not mild. Upon talking to the owner about this instead of accepting that a mistake could have been made he lectures us that the dish he prepared is mild and if I don't like it to order without spices. The women in my group can tolerate spice very well and they are labeling this is as medium to hot.

Last night went for my 50th birthday celebration and ordered a new dish and emphasized that I wanted it VERY MILD. It was HOTTER THAN HELL. And it was concurred that it was served HOT by 3 women at the table. I did not talk to Ali Baba until after others at my table confirmed this was hot and again I was given the speech how I was in the wrong and they were in the right.

I have asked for more rice countless times and have told him that there's never enough rice. His excuse to bring me a small plate of rice for my own dish. In order to save money rather than issuing each meal with the rice that is included, he puts a large plate of rice or two for 4 orders for the diners to share.

When I brought home the leftovers last night, my husband told me the meal was not not but EXTREMELY HOT.

My husband was the chef as the Kasbah Grill in Layton that served Indian cuisine.

This morning I thought I would call and talk to the man about the experience. I did not ask for my money back.

He called me back. I explained to him that my husband and three people at the table felt this was too hot. He stated "I know you, you always want to complain". He said bring it back and I will give you your money back.

I had brought a group of 8 people to celebrate my 50th birthday and this is how he treated us.

DISGUSTING.
