In the last week I have ordered the same thing 4 times, nothing extra and no changes, I paid 4 different prices for the exact same thing. I really think you need to get all you cashier/waitress on the same page. 2 salads for 17.00 is ridiculous. First total was 16.92, second time was 17.56, last 2 times was 13, and 14 dollars. Seem like day shift overcharges sad part on was the owner that overcharged me. I definitely won't be Back and neither will my family

It's been a while since we've been to Choo Choo's - but I wanted to leave a review, to hopefully off-set the bad reviews on here. I am a picky eater & have 4 children who are picky eaters as well. We ALL found something we not only LIKED, but CRAVE! We live about 2 hrs away from New Martinsville, but we make the trip at least once a year. It's fairly inexpensive for 6 of us to eat dinner there, leaving w/ full bellies & to-go boxes!!

We've never experienced any "drunks" there, we had no issues w/ the stairs going down into their dining room, nor did we have any issues w/ the "unlevel" tables. The plates still sit level & so do the drinks...

We love Choo Choo's & will continue going back!!

the tables are unleveled. the don't give you a bill . you just pay as you leave so you don't see what they are charging you. the stairs going to the lower sit down area are a accident waiting to happen. and try to get a wheelchair in those very small dirty bathrooms.

Great people, great service. Have been eating here 20 plus years!!!! 24/7 service. Got to love that! All you have to do is set down order up and run it down your neck. Going now this made me hungry. See you on the bounce around!

Wonderful Service and Atmosphere! Had no less than four servers attending to us. Had a delicious Reuben Sandwich that was perfectly made!

Hello, I have been living in new martinsville for about 6 months, and out of those times I have went to choo choos four times, which i live right down the street from by the way. I will say that the building itself is a nice atmosphere, and the whole image of diner style restaurant sits well in my head. HOWEVER, I will say a few things about their FOOD. The menu is rather large and intimidating, with many items and specialty house items available. The portions are generous and the plate presentation is average, but the TASTE of the food is a different story. In other words, the items that I have tried (the wings, the burgers the reuben, and salads) have been below satisfactory to say the least. The food appears to be a ways from fresh, and even the fries are nothing to write home about. (note they do have curly fries which are said to be better, though I havent tried them).
Let me say something about their service. IT IS TERRIBLE. I say this with honesty and gratitude. the service is one of the worst that i have ever experienced. (ALL FOUR TIMES). Now i am an easy customer, I only ask that you take care of drink refills, and make sure to follow up once or twice. From the accumulated times they all have been collectively terrible, (note: I have dined for their FIRST and THIRD shifts). I have ALWAYS went up twice most times to ask for refills on all four visits. The servers have an attitude with you from the moment you walk in the door, but LAST NIGHT for my birthday, I went from about 12-1:30. The server was rude and she threw the menus on the table. I order a beer, and it seems to go smoothly, I decide to check out their VIDEO POKER ROOM. This is a pretty nice feature on a positive note. I get back to my table and the food comes out, and the empty beer can was moved over right before the food got there. The server asked to see every ones IDS, which was alright, but the way she treated us the rest of the visit was terrible. She had a terrible attitude and of course, I had to come up to the bar area and ask for a refill (which I had been waiting 10 minutes..

The moral of the story is, DO NOT DINE HERE, it is a overall bad restaurant, and the food isnt fresh. If you live in the area, Go somewhere else. This restaurant is a 3 out of 10. Trust me.... dont eat here.. you will regret it..

The atmosphere is friendly, the waitresses are always pleasant, and the food is well proportioned (and well priced), not to mention the fact that the menu is HUGE compared to most other restaurants. If you want a delicious meal with home-cooked quality and excellent service, give it a try!

Choo Choo's is open 24/7, making it great anytime you have a craving for great food. Breakfast is served all day, which I love because of their omlets. The only time I have noticed it's crowded is during rush hour, or after a local game and is packed with high school kids. You are treated with respect and usually everyone is in a good mood.

This restuarant is very dirty and small the food is ok but the atmosphere and the parking lot is awful potholes and muddy. The service takes forever to get your food and is over priced. And if there is alot people in there which doesn't seat very many it is like your sitting on top of one another to close for comfort. And the lighting is poor. And they have steps to go down to another room which is better than upstairs . But who wants to climb up and down stairs especially if you are older person.
