My whole family loves this place. I will look for an excuse to go to Gadsden just so we can eat at the Courtyard Café. Food is tasty and service is exceptional.

Such a flavorful steak. Just the right amount of salt and pepper and whatever else they put on it.

Nothing like it use to be. Steaks are not the excellent quality they use to be. One roll served on your plate rather than a basket of rolls for the table. Service was very slow even tho the waitress was very nice. Not at all, the special place it use to be. Also a little pricey. 2 steaks, baked potatoes and salads and 4 drinks for $88.?

Friends had told ua of this wonderful Café - The Courtyard Café in Gadsden - so Monday, 27 April we drove from Guntersville to Gadsden for lunch. The place was packed. The food, service and price was AMAZING - Great waitress - we didn't have to wait long to be seated - our food came out quickly and was Outstanding. We plan to go back soon.

Some people can't be pleased no matter what you do for them, including kissing their As***.

The food has always been excellent, the service good and the prices reasonable. Whenever we want to treat out-of-town guests this is one of two places we take them.

During mild weather the courtyard provides good alfresco dining with enjoyable live entertainment.

I made reservations here a month before prom but the atmosphere wasn't all that great and the seating was so close. We were all decked out for prom and they sit this bunch of people right next to us, I could've bumped elbows with the girl at the next table, and beings the special night we were taking pictures and laughing and I'm pretty sure the group next to us wasn't very happy with that either. We had expected to sit, eat and have time to talk but as soon as we finished this woman came to our table and rudely said, "We have another reservation here in ten minutes so..." What was funny is that I had specified that it was for prom when I made the reservations. They are pretty rude there, and the seating isn't that great, but the food is good.

The lunch at Courtyard Cafe is so good but I have been SO disappointed the last few times I have eaten there. The portions are smaller and the staff is RUDE!!!! On more than one occasion they have been unnecessarily rude. Today when we ate there the hostess put a reserved card on our table before we were even finished eating. On the card it said that the table was being saved for someone at a certain time which was five minutes from the time the card was placed there. This meant our time was up whether we were finished or not. The guy who cleans the tables stood there and waited on us to be finished! Once we made party reservations there and when I checked on them the day of the party they said that someone from my party had called to cancel it which was NOT true. They do not care about their customers at all. So disappointing for such a nice place!!!

I love to go there to get the blackened, grilled Tilapia and salad. They serve drawn butter for the fish. It is awesome. The potatoes and salad were very good. The yeast rolls with strawberry butter is fantastic. I'd go there way too often if I lived there. I think the prices are a little steep, yet the food is better than anywhere else.

My girlfriend and I recently ate dinner here and were very disappointed with the food and atmosphere. We ordered seafood bisque and a steak. In fact my girl friend ended up in the emergency room later that night with food poisoning. The seafood bisque according to the doctor. The only bright side of our visit was the young waitress. She was very apologetic and sweet. The manager or owner was extremely rude. I do not think we will go back since we are out of town dinners. My recommendation is fire the manager and try to hire someone with manners who is knowledgeable about the restaurant business.

On Friday, Aug 14, 2009 a dear friend and I went to Gadsden to visit some family. They recommended we go to Courtyard. they eat there 2-3 times a week. The food was great..But that is where the compliments end. The waitress was awful. she had the personality of a rock.the bill was $145. and the person paying was going to give her a $35 tip. we discussed the poor service and they decided to leaver a total of $170....they were paying in cash....the denominations were: two $50's, three $20's, a $5, and five singles... .it was counted at least three times that I know of, maybe more. the waitress came by and was handed the $170...we went outside and were discussing what to do next, when after about 10 minutes the waitress came running out and said we only left $60. we were shocked, and we went in to see the owner...At that point the waitress said we only left $70 ..... It was $60 in the parking lot.....When I asked the waitress why the different amount she just stared at me. so be careful in there.

Dinner - Food is creatively prepared, well seasoned. Steaks are the best found in Gadsden.
Mixed drinks are delicious. Service is very good, except on very rare occasions when the restaurant is overcrowded.
Lunch - a selection of meats with choice of
vegetables fixed. The veggie choice changes
daily. We have never been disappointed and eat
there every week.Take out is available for either meal.

They do not care if their customers have a good experience or not. We had a horrible 2 hour long experience because of bad service and they wouldn't even admit it was any fault of theirs. I'll never go again. Be forewarned, if something goes wrong, you will get no sympathy from them.
