My wife and I have been eating at pizza plaza since the early 1970's with our parents and then as a couple and even had Christmas dinners there thru the company that my wife used to work for. But recently it seems the food has been going down hill. Last time we ate there my wife's chicken fettuccini wasn't that good and this time it was terrible and my pizza had a 1/2" of raw dough all but the crust which I usually take home and reheat later. This time I told the waitress we didn't want to go boxes she asked if anything was wrong we replied yes the food was awful and explained why. She was very nice and apologetic brought us our check I left a 20% tip and I think our 40 year relationship is over

Just waited almost two hours for the actual manager named Tosta or something like that to deliver the food himself. Upon arrival food was cold and on top of that he didn't want to give me my $5 in change. He said he didn't have any change at first but, when I stuck to my guns he brought out a wad of cash with plenty singles and a couple twenties. My advice, if you order from this establishment make sure they know how to find out where you are and PAY IN EXACT CHANGE.

I ordered a calzone from them last week and it was a big dissapointment. Not only was it not in fact a calzone (it was a stromboli) but it was very small. Not only was it in fact small, but it was missing the salad that it says comes with it. For 16 bucks I would expect much more than this. Suffice it to say I will not be ordering from here again.

We absolutely love this place. It's nice to be able to have a full meal delivered to our door, and it's even nicer to dine in. Our favorites are the calzones and the shrimp dishes.

This place as been around forever and is one of the best restaurants in town. THE SERVICE IS ALWAYS WONDERFUL AND THE FOOD IS FANTASTIC!!!!!!
as far as a bad review goes-I think sometimes when people have bad experiences at places, they usually come in with an attitude. We always are welcomed warmly and treated great. Best pizza in town and their pasta usually feeds me there plus 2 more leftovers at home (IT'S ALOT!). The baklava is to die for-best I've ever eaten. As far as the atmosphere-it's wonderful-you can actually carry on a conversation and hear each other, and what's better than Dean Martin singing in the background!! Pizza Plaza-live on forever!!!!!!

Okay, I admit the service is not always great but don't let anyone fool you the food is fantastic. It is in a funky old strip mall but they remodeled a few years ago and it is nice enough. If you don't like the atmosphere then just get the food to go or delivered. This restaurant has been around for years and the owners are from the old country. They know how to cook authentic Italian and Greek food. It says Pizza Plaza but the menu is so much more. I have never been disappointed.

Very good spaghetti and meatballs. Stuffed shrimp was good too. Tried their new spinach salad also very good and much lighter. Will definitely eat there again!

This is my favorite restaurant in town; however, my last visit there was rather disappointing, and even unsettling. I ordered the Halibut Olympia, my favorite dish. I had to send the first order back, which I had never done at a restaurant. The second order looked and at first tasted much better than the first attempt, unfortunately, the halibut was raw when I bit into the center. I am worried that a change in chefs has occurred recently because I have heard several other die hard Pizza Plaza fans make similar comments about recent visits. I hope this situation improves, and I hope the ownership reads this and takes it as kink criticism, because I really enjoy eating at this restaurant. Chow.

The best hidden secret in Anchorage!! Love the gyros and stuffed mushrooms! Our favorite italian restaurant!

Awful place. Strip mall. Mediocre food that took forever to arrive. Waitress had to be reminded about my drink - I changed the drink at that point so she brought both... Called everyone "kiddo". First one person's food arrived. Then later another person's food (a bland pizza) arrived. About 10 minutes later the waitress brought a plate. Had to eat the pizza off the pan... We sat and sat waiting for something to eat - and when it arrived it was pretty plain. Cookie-cutter cheap Italian fare. Nothing special here. Don't bother. Go to Pizza Hut...

Always good food, with a nice atmosphere. A hidden Anchorage jewel.
