Absolutely love Casey's! I eat there as often as I can. They are your typical hole in the wall place. Awesome southern style eats. Fried chicken, pulled pork, collards, cornbread lots of veggies. Too much to list. In national polls they always rank near the top!

Caseys is he worst to eat at soon as we walked thru the door it smelled like urine the place was not that cleaned the restrooms were bad the vegtables on the buffet were from a can had a metal taste on them i asked the waitress why she replied what you see is what you get I strongly do not recommend this place to anyone .

July 24.2014 I My husband and me went to Casey's Buffet for dinner My husband is a amputee and they do not have handicap parking,we had to park off they lot. The other thing that is very bad is that the bath room toilet is so low two the floor if was not for the bar you would not be able to get up,also the men bathroom do not have a bar for standing or siting, for the handicap it is very bad when you want people to eat at your restaurant you should be more mindful and be thankful that you come there to eat, I have read the reviews about how good the food taste, believe me the food is not that good the desert preach and apple cobber and the blueberry when you see then in the pan know matter how much you like desert you do not want that believe me there is no way I would eat at Casey's Buffet

Awesome selection of everything you could imagine for down home comfort food and the staff and owners are just as terrific!

Ate lunch on 28 JUL 2012 at Casey's. My wife, daughter and grandson loved it. It is always a treat for us to drive from Jacksonville to Cassy's. Casey's has the best southern cooking in eastern North Carolina.

I fed 13 men for only 130 dollars and got the best service from one waitress. The food was good and fresh , hot and they had the real home cooking going on . The cooks were great. Where else can you get pig feet on a buffet . HOG KNUCKLES!!! Yum

Went here first time with a friend and HAD to go back with my Hubby. We ALL love it. Nothing fancy but really great southern home cooking. We've gone back a few times and have recommended to everyone we know. Love the food, the staff, everything about Casey's. It's just amazing.

Casey's is what southern cooking is all about. All the dishes I had were delicious. I will definitely refer this place to anyone who craves true....and I mean TRUE southern cuisine. The staff was extremely polite and friendly, as a TRUE southern eatery should be. Forget all the other so-called southern buffets..... this place is in a class all of its own. I LOVE IT, I WANT SOME MORE OF IT !!!!!!

This is the closest of Authentic Southern cooking in Wilmington. It is not the worst nor is it the best I have tasted. I agree with some of the comments that the scenery can be more appealing and less shack-like. My personal favorites are fried and baked chicken, request only shrimp and fish (whitings?). I would recommend Casey's to someone coming into town only if they are down to earth people,no snooty people allowed lol. Also to the Mother that had the employee speak about your child, if that was brought to the owner's attention that would have been addressed immediately. The owner/supervisor is really really sincere and caring. Kind to the bone and heart. She usually is always walking around.Saddens me that ignorance interfered with your experience b/c that is not their everyday way.

The Best Southern Buffet I've ever had! Some friends and I had gone to Wrightsville Beach for the weekend and stumbled upon Casey's. Even though it takes 2 hours for me to get there one way, I'd make the drive any day of the week for their good service and good food. It reminds me of my granny's kitchen. Enjoy!

There is no better place to eat. The food is remarkable. Never bland or dry...they use the perfect amount of seasoning on everything. My grandmother's are the only people who have ever cooked food seasoned so perfectly. We lived in Wilmington for 3 years and now Casey's is only a rare treat for us. But I can promise you we will never travel that direction without planning a fill up at Casey's. As for the staff and service....it's always like going home to visit family. They are all smiles and full of joy and jump at the chance to go the extra mile for what ever you need.

I have eaten all over the US and this is just the best . No artificial taste. Just like being home in the South. I own a guesthouse and take all my guest who are from all over the US, professors, writers, attorneys, movie makers, and down home folk like me. They all call back or send a note and mention how they love Casey's. Some from Raleigh-Durham come back for the day just to go to Casey's. Only missing item is the salad. Oh if only it was a little more room in there! The atmosphere is truly country and we wish the best for Larry, Gina and the entire staff and family.

I've been here many times. I've recommended it to so many people! Gina & Larry are awesome and so is the staff. The food is heavenly!!!!!!!!!! If you have not had the pleasure of eating at Cassey's YOU ARE MISSING OUT!

One of my favorite restaurants in Wilmington. The owners are very friendly. The food is excellent. I a friend visiting Wilmington on business today. I asked him to stop by Casey's to pick up a plate for me... that's how good it is!!

review_stars 05/31/2010 - Sheryl Judge
Although the food and prices were good, I will not go back to Casey's Buffet. I usually go to Casey's when I am in Wilmington, but my last visit was really disturbing. I had my disabled child with me and assisting her to eat when a customer starting talking about her inability to feed herself and that I can deal with. It became an issue when the employees sat down at there table and joined in. That is very ignorant and rude, this also upset my other children to notice people were talking about their baby sister.

Its a good thing We don't have a Place like Cseys on Topsail Island or I would be 350 Lbs.!I drive to Wilmington once in a while just to eat their Fried Chicken!

review_stars 04/23/2010 - Teresa
Wonderful food...true Southern cooking! A little salty at times, though. I've been told they have great desserts, but the night we went I wasn't very impressed with the dessert selection. But who cares?!? The sweet potato fluff and rutabagas were as good as any dessert! :D

We're saving up calories to go back!

If you have never eaten at Casey's you are missing out. The entire buffet is mouth watering with just the right amount of seasoning, but what makes this the best restaurant in all of Wilmington, is the oweners and their staff. Althought Larry is always busy behind the scenes in the kitchen if you ask for him, he will stop what he is doing and come out and talk to you. His wife Gina and even their children greet you with the warmth of home everytime you step through the door. They have catered two of my mom's bday parties and I will continue to use them for every affair I have. Love you both, Regina

OMG!! they have best BBQ , Slaw and Banana pudding I love this place & the kids do too... Something for everyone.

review_stars 03/06/2010 - WilmGoddess
Atmosphere is a step above a run-down trailer.

The food had more grease & pepper than actual taste. "Fried okra" wasn't breaded, just fried in grease with pepper & vinegar. Nothing healthy or really tasty on the buffet. Certainly not for the weak stomached.

Service was very nice & the tea was delicious.

Will not be going back. The place was very busy & I will gladly give up my seat for someone who enjoys this goop.

~a true southerner who got real southern food that was delicious & had flavor above just grease, vinegar & pepper, at my grandmas. This place is in its own category.

review_stars 03/06/2010 - Nanie
Enjoy the down home feel, was like having dinner at grandmas. Love it, will go again and again.

At around 12:30 this afternoon, I had the ultimate, perfect Eastern-Style BBQ pass my lips. This is it! Perfectly cooked pork, incredible recipe for sauce, and perfect cole-slaw. There shoulda been a symphony playing. Oh yes, everything from the mac & cheese, beans, turkey, shrimp - as well as the service, (and banana pudding) - was fantastic also! The owners have a new life-long customer in us. If your visiting Wilmington, check'em out. [If you live in Wilmington, you already know how good Casey's is!]

As a first time visitor to Casey's, all I can say is that it's "Slap yo Momma" good! Great local atmosphere, friendly service and delicious variety. Staff members behind the buffet were diligent in keeping food stocked, stirred and fresh, right up until closing time! And the food itself was better than homemade...these folks are NOT messin' around! I will DEFINITELY go back and I've already recommended it to friends! Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Gina and her husband run an amazing restaurant that is both excellent in food and service, but Gina goes beyond that. I was planning a wedding for my daughter from out of state and she went above and beyond what was needed. I had lots of compliments on food and would not hesitate to call her up again!! She makes quite a few of her dishes from scratch and like I said before- it was amazing!
Her sister Brooks, Makes an amazing wedding cake as well !!! Hershey Bar cake and Strawberry cake.. wow!!!

Food is amazing for country cooking!! Best okra around, seafood is good, and everything is REAL. No instant potatoes here. If you have any dietary restrictions don't come here.

review_stars 05/24/2009 - Hill Family
The food and service was GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!! We would recommend this place to everyone. Can't beat the prices, competitors should take notes!!!!!!!!!!

review_stars 05/03/2009 - Pat
This is where I go to eat first thing after I've been away from Wilmington for a while. I eat at country cooking buffets everywhere and have yet to find one to beat Casey's. (The late lamented Taste of Country on Front Street came close.)

review_stars 09/06/2008 - Bobo Khan
As much as I like Southern food, this place does a bad job in making it! More grease and oil than a local Jiffy Lube! The servcie is great and the iced tea is excellent, though. Ironically, the fries are pretty good, not very greasy as you'd expect.

review_stars 07/20/2008 - TrishaAnn
Heavenly food. The best fried chicken and rutabagas in the whole USA. I only get to eat here once a year when I come down South and I miss it all year. Try it!

review_stars 04/12/2008 - mj
This is the best country food I have ever come across. Everyone is very friendly and the owner is usually there to greet you!! A must visit anytime you are here and if you live here and haven't gone yet- Hurry, you don't know what you are missing! Amazing!

This is our family's gathering place! We love everything about Casey's. The people, the food, the atmosphere, the location. It's just like sitting down at your mama's table!!!

My husband and I were visiting Wilmington recently and a hotel clerk suggested we go to Casey's as my husband wanted to try authentic southern cooking. We were so delighted with the experience. the food was so delicious. OUr trip included eating eating at many restaurants from New York down through Georgia. Casey's meal was the best of them all. We even ate a Paula Deen's restaurant in Savannah. Casey's was so superior it was unbelievable. The price was too so great we could hardly believe it.! We eat at a lot of restaurants of all types and expense levels but this was by far the best food and the people were great too. I highly recommend it. The decor is very unpretensious. You can go in Jeans or casual attire of any type and fit right in.

CASEYS IS THE BEST PLACE TO EAT IN WILMINGTON HANDS DOWN!! Whether you're trying to impress your lady or recooperating from your hangover.. :) Sunday turkey and stuffing... you cant beat it!! HA!!

Love the food! Love the People! Everyone there is sweet and lovin'. Can you believe only one guy makes all the food?! The desserts are submitted by the waitresses (and waiters). Since I moved down, this is the only place I get a great sit-down buffet! Finger-lickin' good! Oh, and go there several times and the waitresses will get to know you and ask you how your family is, nowhere else is better!

It ain't fancy but it sure is good food.

review_stars 09/10/2006 - Chris Dildy
First off...if you know how everyone always says you find a place that the locals go to find great food...this is it! My father went on a sunday, the next weekend we went down with a friend on Saturday...drove 2 hours back home and the next day drove another 2 hours for this food!

The service staff is friendly and very fast to get whatever you need/want. They use the area they have for a buffet very well for the amount of food out there. The fried chicken, chicken pastry, sweet potatoes, and macaroni and cheese is to die for! If I had to have one last meal, it would contain food from this resturant. I also loved the personal touch of meeting the owners. They really cook with love and is throughout the resturant.

I wish the resturant was closer, but then again my belt doesn't need to get any bigger :)
