Ate some great food in the bar at the broker last night and had a great time. The bartenders there are always super nice and professional and the food was great!

We made reservations - but after arriving - it wasn't necessary. Only 1 other person was on the reservation list. The prices have gone up and the choice of food and service has gone down. The soup was warm not hot - the lettuce had rust. What happened to all the different kinds of steaks that you could order - now all you see is a lot of kabobs. What's up with that?? The mashed potatoes tasted like they came out of a box. I am very disappointed that a place that was great to go to in the past has changed for the worse. We won't be back.

We were very disappointed with the Broker. My husband and I were going for our anniversary. I called a head and asked if we needed reservations. I was told they were recommended, but, not necessary. I have no idea why they take reservations. There was only two other couples in the whole restaurant. After waiting 5 minutes to be seated, we walked further into the restaurant to find someone to seat us. We ordered ice tea which tasted old. Before ordering our meal, I told the waiter about my food allergies that include peanuts. He cam back after talking to the chef and told me that almost everything on the menu included peanut oil. They could not tell me which items had peanut oil in them because they use it in all the sauces. I asked to see a manager. For a fine dining establishment you would think the manager would be dressed nice and would know what was going on in the kitchen. She came over in a t-shirt and not looking like she wanted to talk to us at all. I asked her is she could tell me which items had peanut oil in them. She said she did not know, but, she could see if the chef could tell her. We told her we were surprised they used peanut oil in everything and she said "I was unaware about peanut allergies". Needless to say, we left without eating and gave our restaurant certificate to another couple. I informed the manager that I would be giving the Broker a bad review and she said "do whatever". What a disappointing restaurant experience. We will not recommend the Boulder Broker to anyone.

The worst experience! No heat,(in december) electricity cut off, elevator didnt work. I believe they are going to refurbish which is really necessary. Had stayed there before as it is so convenient in location, but it has really gone downhill.

We made reservations and attended 2010 Mothers Day brunch/buffet at the Broker this morning. In years past, the Broker has always been a favorite and a wonderful destination for special days. Today it was the pits! The hostess at the reservations desk was impersonable. The place was dirty. The salad bar was the WORST salad bar I have ever had. There was a wilty lettuce bowl, and about 4 other salad items. That was it. The crab legs bin was always empty. The food was lukewarm to cold. The room where the main dishes were located looked like a run down ghetto bar from 1970. I will never go back to the Broker. I manage a restaurant here in Denver...with just a few personnel upgrades, a thorough cleaning and a little more attention to the food, the place would be great again. Im sad to say, another Denver landmark has faded away.

Wow, times sure have changed. The Broker used to be the best restaurant in Boulder. We just ate there and it was horrible. The service was lousy and the food was even worse. Instant mashed potatoes, gristle ridden fillet, wine served in a brandy glass, no wine list, and the list goes on and on. The shrimp bowl used to be my favorite. I paid $9 for a bowl of tiny shrimp cocktail. Not a good dinner at all! I will pass from now on.
