Pastrami was served grayish brown, microwaved, and not fresh. Two sandwiches thrown directly in the trash. The salad was good, but the place is dirty and kind of gross.

Best Salad I ever had. You select the lettuce and then select from a long line of fresh veggies etc.. The veggies are very fresh, chopped just right and as good as fresh food can get. Very clean and reasonably priced.

Given the lousy quality of Delicatessens and sandwich shops in Downtown Hartford, this place is a "diamond in the rough". I wandered in here a day after almost breaking a tooth on some stale bread at Max Bibo's on Trumbull St.. This place has larger sandwiches, with more meat, for less money, and it's clean. Best place to get a sandwich in Hartford!

Love their salad selection. Always fresh, large selection, line moves quickly, friendly. Good food!

i think it's great. one problem though, the hours are terrible! considering it's the closest thing downtown has to a grocery store, you'd think they would stay open past 5 weekdays or 3 on a saturday. especially with all the people who live downtown these days.

Hands down, a NYC menu that is priced great.
Slow service, but so is everything in Hartford.

great little restaurant Kim is the cook , he takes pride in what he does. Robert is the owner ,funny guy great to talk to . i eat breakfast here every day they have anything you could possibly want in the morning or any other time ! clean friendly descent priced service. great job guys .

They make good sandwiches with plenty of meat. They will even deliver to near by offices.

The restaurant is now under new management and vast improvements have been made. They offer a full line of breakfast and lunch items and feature Boar's Head brand deli meats as well as a make to order salad bar loaded with fresh options. The staff was friendly and attentive and prices are affordable. The deli is a welcome addition to the otherwise mundane, overpriced lunch options downtown Hartford has to offer. I would highly recommend giving Rose's Gourmet a first try or a second chance.

Maybe ok if you speak Korean, but even with 4 people working behind the counter, don't expect them to even acknowledge your presence unless you're willing to wait 1/2 hour.

Not to mention the maggots in the chocolate bars. Needs a LOT of work. There are better places to eat within a block or two.

The amount of food for the price you pay is pretty good.

Very fresh veggies in their salads & sandwiches. There are only 2 tables to eat there so food must be to go. Not bad.
