Absolutely terrible. For someone that is Italian, I expected a whole lot better since Italian food deals with the best ingredients and simplicity but they buy their " fresh pasta" in from a company that already makes and cuts it. I could write a whole paper on this but I think I made my point. I'm not just a random customer, I have gone to school for cooking and work in the industry.sad, sad food

I went here w/ my gf on a whim one day when walking downtown. The restaurant sits on John Nolen Dr right next to the lake and as such has an incredible view. The food was average. I will say this place is better than Olive Garden, by a lot, however it doesn't hold up to some other local restaurants.

We recently were in Madison for a seminar and were looking for a place to eat before coming home. We use to live in Dane County but have not eaten in Madison for about 14 yrs. We really had fun when I mentioned to my husband now of 32 yrs that I suppose they had tore down Pisans, what a shame because in our early years together we went to Pisans to eat. On our way out of town, I looked over and saw the Pisans Sign at 131 Wilson, so we both said wonder if is the same as where we use to eat. Well we went aound the block and decided that we would find out and all we can say is WOW. The food was excellent and the decor is off the planet. Now that we are older the noise we aren't us to anymore but was even happy with us as we laughed and thought of our younger years together at the old place on University Square. We had such fun, now we want to bring our kids there since we now have advanced to a married granddaughter, the kids will love it. Food is great. The desk clerk said we should come back when we can sit in the area overlooking the Lake and we are really going to love that. I'm so glad we had this opportunity once again.
