This family owned restaurant has been in business for over 34 years and has always kept up their the quality of their food! We have always enjoyed eating there plus they have great service! The ambience is very colorful and cozy. I highly recommend La Casita Mexican restaurant in Sierra Vista AZ

Wife & I eat here occasionally. We like the food. Service is okay. Since Covid the staff have been using masks & gloves which is good. However they grab everything with the gloves and serve your food too. That's not healthy. Please change your techniques for health uses of the gloves

This place USED to be wonderful. The service was great. Now- bleh. Plain, greasy, salty food, and servers who over apologize. This may pass for tourists from 'up north' but for those of us with palettes well acquinted to real mexican food this is far from hitting the mark. There's no love in it anymore. Sad.

I read the previous reviews, and I hope I have the right place. The service wasn't superb, but my experience was good, particularly the food. I can't remember the name of the meal, but I had a tamale, enchiladas, crispy beef taco, rice, and beans. Two things I'm very picky about when I eat at a restaurant: 1- I want HOT food, hot enough where I have to blow to cool it, and I want to taste spice and flavor (especially in Mexican food). I was very happy with the meal, the food didn't turn cold after 3 minutes, and I didn't have to add salt. They didn't charge me for a side bowl of cilantro and extra limes. Honestly, I've only been happy with two Mexican restaurants in Arizona so far, and La Casita is one of them.

Not that great. service was very good, tea was good, chips ok, salsa was bland.
Chimichanga did taste like it was frozen & reheated before serving.
Meat in Taco was cooked/fried in the tortilla.
Beans may have been taken out of a pot that bottom had scorched as they were smoky (& not in a good way).
Albondiga soup was very good, especially the meat was very tender.

We eat at La Casita regularly, have never eaten anything that was not GREAT! Service is always good. We don't like the crowds on Taco Night or Salsa Night so we go other nights. We usually spend about $10 a person for a GREAT meal, but like anywhere if you are drinking it will be more. Great place for family dinner or friends at lunch!

Was at La Casita with some friends tonight, one of whom ordered a quesadilla. It was supposed to have sour cream but didn’t; it was really dry. It only had chicken and cheese. She told the waitress, who offered to have it remade but my friend said don’t worry about it, just don’t charge me for the side of guacamole and we can call it even.
But a manager, and I use that term loosely, named Caesar came to her table and told her food did have sour cream and she had to pay for the guac. He didn’t even check her food to see; he just came over and announced his proclamation to the room, loudly. It was embarrassing and he obviously did it just for that effect. He embarrassed her so badly she couldn’t even eat after that. We all just paid our bill and left, with the waitress apologizing for his behavior. But there’s no excuse for his behavior.
La Casita used to be good but it’s on par with Taco Bell now. Save your money and go there. Same food quality, maybe even a little lower, but at least the Taco Bell managers are polite. If they make something wrong, you can take it to them, they’ll actually look at it and see that you’re right, and they’ll fix it. La Casita? Apparently they’re incapable of even that.

My Husband and I have ordered take out from here twice. Both times the order was incorrect. The food was mediocre, at best. And the staff was not overly friendly. We will not be ordering from there again. My suggestion: don't waste your money here, Taco Bell is better Mexican than La Casita.

Went to the Salsa night, not the best time I ever had. I had to watch over weight girls dance for an hour before the floor even open up to dance with my date.

They still charged me for a cover charge even know I paid for a $50 meal. Service was OK but they seemed rushed to move you out for the Zumba girls. Which by the way did not have to pay a cover.

If you are going out for dinner and dance all in one location this is not it. The ladies at the Bar were the worst of all. Slow and confused on how to make drinks.

The food was OK, nothing to go crazy for if you are experience with Latin food. defiantly missing that Latin pop.

Food 5 out of 10
Music 7 out of 10
Service 3 out of 10
Security 8 out of 10
Zumba dancer funny to watch but to many for that small dance floor. 2 out of 10

It seems that La Casita stays busy, because they do such a wonderful job. Their customer service is up there. Sometimes you have to beat the rush.
Thank you for serving those who serve you

okay today the food might not be as great but my grandparents were the ones to build that place. when they owned It no one had any complaints they were friends of Mr. Fry himself!!!! and he thought my grandma's cooking was amazing you can even look my grandparents up in the sierra vista library that's how good the food was. if you have any ? e mail me @monibasketball@yahoo.com

Food was great service was excellent. Sat right down when we came in. The parking lot looked packed but was infact rather empty inside. Did take out another time was timely and exactly how we ordered it. Service was friendly. One thing I liked the most is the fact that my drink was always refilled. Not once did i ever have to flag down a waiter or waitress to refill my beverage. For sierra vista it is the best service I have recieved.

This place is just terrible in spite of the so-called rave reviews we had heard from the locals. Four times we went there of these 4 times, 3 were with a wait list and though we had two small children when our wait time came and went they continued to seat their friends that had come in after us so our wait times kept getting pushed back beyond the original wait time. These wait times weren't short to begin with. Finally on the 4th try we managed to get seated. The service wasn't exceptional in any means and the food was bland or over salted. For all the hype on this place it fell flat with the whole family.
I have worked in the restaurant field and know all about wait times and never in all the time I was a hostess did I ever seat a large party over another large party because they were friends or family. When there is a wait time, seat and serve everyone equally.
We will try this place again, NOT EVEN!
