Went to the newly renovated Anchor Inn Lakeside for a Mother's Day Dinner.
The ambience had a rustic old world nautical charm; that was a pro for
a seafood establishment! Tiki bar, lakeside dining and inside tables and booths
as a casual eatery catering to locals, tourists and the neighboring Palm Beach County
Started with a round of drinks and appetizers.Dining staff tried to accommodate on
all fronts of requests but inexperience was duly noted.
Flash fried calamari and salads on the money but main course of salmon sparse
and shrimp light oreganato was heavily breaded and slightly over fried.
Spoke with owner Bob and assured us that if we patronize his establishment
on a less hectic occasion he will accommodate. We will definitely recommend
Anchor Inn to our friends and family in Delray as an alternative to trendy pricey Atlantic Ave.!

The most horrible experience that I have ever had eating out on Mother's Day. I actually had to cancel my order, two prime rib dinners because of a loud obnoxious New York fireman who refused to shut his mouth. The management did nothing about it. I feel ashamed for taking my mother there....sorry mom
