The resturant is not appealing at all, needs a whole lot of work outside and inside. Looks like a strip club. I would never stop to get food in that area, but heard the food was great. It is great! The owner needs to clean the building up and he will prosper.

Best Chinese food in Vancouver. Very good food, generous portions served piping hot. Food is consistantly good. The interior is in real need of new flooring and new booths. There's too much clutter. Paint the walls and it would be a nice atmosphere all around. We continue to go there because the food is so good.

I have eaten at the Star House several times and also the Silver Dragon which is the sister restaurant. I live in TX and always enjoyed the Pork Noodle Soup at both location and would love to have their recipe if possible. If you have it and can share, it will be greatly appreciated. I also enjoyed their Chow Mien. It's been several years since I have eaten there but my family that lives in the area goes there when hungry for Chinese food.

The food is great. And always hot. In fact take out is still pipping hot when I get home which is about 15 minutes away. The decor is very outdated and the inside of the restaurant needs some work. I went at 11:40am on a Thursday. The place opens at 11:30. The carpet was VERY dirty and needed to be vacuumed badly. There is was too much clutter around the cash register and you can see into the area with the condiments. Also very cluttered. The floor in those areas were dirty as well. Not at all what you would expect from a restaurant that opened 10 minutes prior. It was obvious that who ever closed the restaurant the night before didn't clean up.

I would have given this place a better rating really the food is good, but when you see the shape of the restaurant the food was cooked in you may lose your ability to really enjoy it.

A new coat of paint and someone cleaning the floors would improve this place greatly.

Good food, very cheap...especially their lunch menu. Dining area very outdated and worn but lounge is more roomy and inviting.
