I have never been impressed with the food. I feel it is over rated. They are not accommodating when it comes to food allergies. Will not alter a recipe, like leave out something. Not a friendly atmosphere.

Great food, excellent service. Always get one of the specials, especially the MONKFISH CAKE , if it's available, for a starter

The food is great, our waitress the last few times we have dined, Coleen, was very pleasant. My only problem was placing menus in front of us that had sauce and other people's food on them. They are paper menus and should be thrown out if soiled. We are bring four other people with us next week from out of town, they food is excellent but I will be embarrassed to have dirty menus placed in front of them. I might recommend plastic sleeves to cover the menus. Hope to see this addressed.

An excellent restaurant. Paul works wonders in the kitchen. The Cioppino is the best I have ever had, and that includes in Italy. Steaks are wood-grilled to perfection. But he specializes in fish (as any waterfront restaurant should) and here he is the best. Whether grilled, pan-seared or baked (and I have had them all) every dish is great. Ignore the crabby person who criticizes this place. He clearly has an agenda. There is a reason he has had a restaurant in Warren for decades- he knows what he is doing and has many loyal customers. Everything is cooked to order and with care - so if you want fast food- - go to Wendy's. . Try it- you'll love it. PW

My friends and family and I have been patrons for many years. We have never had a disappointing meal there. So many favorites it is difficult to decide. I actually have reservations for tomorrow night! We love the newer area which is all open and white with lots of windows and paintings. You can sea the shore and also the cooks. we feel like we are in Nantucket and my grandkids actually call it the Nantucket restaurant My only negative complaint is I wish they had more desserts!

You come in and the resteraunt looks great. Our waitress was very friendly. Very young girl. She was the only good thing about this resteraunt. Me and my husband saw the chef (who is also the owner) yell at her repeatedly and bring her to the point of tears. Such an -ss hole. The food was terrible. Would only come back to have that waitress again.

COMPLETELY agree with the other negative reviews on this page. The owner of this restaurant is a total d--ch- who will NOT take a second out of his day to provide an ounce of service to a customer. Spend your money elsewhere in Warren. There are many other fine establishments along the water in Rhode Island, and this place will soon be out of business.

I've been going there for decades and the food never disappoints. Friendly staff that have been there for years. Wine list reflects great value, simplicity and diversity. Meals are gourmet and reasonably priced. A variety of recipes makes certain there is something for everyone; even my vegetarian girlfriend has dishes she can enjoy.
Also, the owner is a good guy that doesn't deserve to be crucified by a serial reviewer on this site.

This place should be burned to the ground for 2 reasons. Reason #1 is that the owner is a total douchebag. He was cussing out a waitress IN the dining room, making it really awkward to enjoy the meal with my wife. Reason #2 is that this is some prime space for a GREAT restaurant to be. Additionally, the food was nothing but sub-par. I was going to ask to speak to the Chef, but he was arguing with another customer at the bar! Are you kidding me? Save your money to fund a nice person and not this -ssh-l-.

I went to Tav Vinos with my husband hoping for a relaxing night of good food and wine. What I got was an undercooked piece of fish smothered in butter, and feelings of unease as the owner in the kitchen loudly belittled a young female coworker. His rage made the restaurant's atmosphere uncomfortable for everyone. I will never return to this restaurant, and I hope others will discontinue to support the owner who feels he has authority to cuss and scream at his female employees.

Great location - horrible service. Dinner for four became dinner for three when the waitress and cook combined to mess up my seafood pasta dish three times. Finally, she gave up, but by that time the other three had finished eating anyway. The waitress apologized, but owner/manager/cook was apparently too busy to care. Which was probably a good thing, because when we finally did speak, he was incredibly rude - as though it was my fault. Horrible customer service.

Worst Restaurant Experience Ever!!
The chicken was so undercooked that I think I got salmonella poisoning just looking at it!! And it took us an hour and a half to get it. Then Paul (the owner who actually was the cook) who was apparently too busy to come talk to us was coming in from walking his dog while we were on our way out.. Then gave us attitude when we wanted to speak to him and then said "pay the bill or I'm calling the police" Real professional!! So if you're looking for some salmonella poisoning and a piss poor attitude, here's the place to go!!

Tav-Vino's is an excellent restaurant. Wide range of delicious foods. Paul and Kevin are wonderful and creative chefs. Try anything "Zippy".. my favorite. From seafood, steaks, chicken and pasta We have never had a bad meal. Always leave there feeling very satisfied!!
The Atmosphere is buzzing, and can be very romantic.
