My birthday was on June 14th ( 2020) and since I didnt feel comfortable going out to eat due to Covid 19, and I wanted Mexican food, and since El Gallito closed a few years back & I have tried other Mexican restaurants in the area only to be very disappointed, ( could be I use to own a Mexican restaurant up in Big Bear Lake, Anyway I told my son I've never tried Salsa's he said well let's give it a try....I had a Chili Relleno dinner my son had another dinner, as soon as we opened the container we both looked at one another, we had never seen refried beans so light in color they were like a light beige...and OMG the Chili Relleno looked horrible, the breading was so thick & wet, the chili was filled with seeds, & the cheese was not melted....in all honesty it was the worst Chili Relleno I have ever had.
I didnt eat the breading, & it took a while to pick out all the seeds, I did eat the beans...I said to my son well, we know never to get their food again.
My daughter owns a restaurant back East, & we like doing business with small business owners...both my sons own a small business here in the desert. And word does get around.
I have since heard San Miguel on Date Palm Has food more like El Gallito so I will be giving them a try soon....
