Do NOT eat at this "establishment". This location is NOT the good Free Wheeler Pizza, if there is one. The good one in sugarhouse went belly up years ago. We went there with a craving for oven authentic homemade style pizza. What we got was cold greasy fast food-ish pizza and to add insult to injury, a COCKROACH crawled right onto our table as we were eating! We left immediately and did not eat our food. The place is so decripit, we should have known better. Disgusting.

I've had to say this on several different sites because there is a concerted effort by a small group of people to 'get back at' one of the owners of Free Wheeler Pizza by posting venomous reviews. I cannot, without any doubt, say that any negative review is one of theirs, but have a strong suspicion because the tone of these are all similar, and they harp on the same issues. One might beleive this is because they are valid statements, but because of other information I have and my being at Free Wheeler every couple of weeks, I know that some of these claims are ridiculous.
Please do not validate their vindictiveness by automatically believing these reviews. I truly hope you simply visit Free Wheeler, without even buying anything, to see for yourself that these claims are false. And if they are not false, and I'm the one trying to manipulate people, then you will see this immediately and can walk out without losing one red cent.
I also want to state up front that I do have a personal relationship with Free Wheeler Pizza, but that I have no financial stake in the business and have not been paid to write this. All I want to do with this review is warn people that there is an effort out there to ruin the good name of Free Wheeler Pizza.

I have had pizza from Baltimore to Los Angeles and this is the worst of them all!

The sauce is lacking that certain spice or sizzle...it tasted like tomato sauce and some salt. Really!

The sourdough crust was so far from it that I actually asked a local friend if it wasn't just frozen pizza crust--she said no and I was shocked!

I ordered a peperoni with olives and green pepers. It was soooo oily and a little cold and the toppings were skimpy!

My friends and I ate it. We didn't have much of a choice at about 1 am. I just wanted to let everyone know how uneatable this pizza is.
