To Justin VanWingerden:
I cannot believe you can make such a racist comment “the customers by and large look and smell like migrant farm workers”, who do think works for the VanWingerden’s fields ?, do you have Dutch picking?, Is this the kind of education and values you received? You should be ashamed of yourself! you are giving the wonderful Dutch people in this city a really bad name with remarks as racist as yours.

Taco Grande is a wonderful place to eat. It may not be your high class atmosphere, but it serves authentic Mexican food and the employees are very friendly. You can order at the counter or have your server take you order! Either way you can't been the food or the cost.

I agree with the first guy that reviewed this place back in 2007. This place is totally gross. The tables are messy, the customers by and large look and smell like migrant farm workers. I actually got sick off of the food the one time I ate here. Funny, when I reported it to the owner it was a guy by the name of Flores, and the one stellar review on here is by a guy named Flores. Bring your own napkins.

While visiting Carpinteria on vacation, we tripped over this fantastic little restaurant. We highly recommend the shrimp burrito, shrimp quesadilla, carne asada soft taco's and especially the shrimp cocktail. People were kind, service great and place was very clean.

I enjoyed he food very much! The whole tilipia was fried just right, not greasy at all!Rice was great, salad was great, just need a bit of dressing!
I didn't care for the chili relleno my brother in law ordered,it was greasy and not seasoned.
The garlic shrimp my sister ordered was wonderful! Very fresh seafood!
Great service!1
