We went there for the first time, absolutely wonderful, loved the food and decor - we'll definitely be back!

February 12, 2014 I went online and booked and received a confirmation via email for my reservation at this restaurant for 6pm supper on Valentines Day. Twelve hours later someone phoned my husband and told him the software program they have on their website over booked the the entire week and in fact we had no reservation. So at the bewitching hour I called 8 other restaurants and no one had reservations left in Saskatoon. He said it was not their responsibility but that of the soft ware program. When asked what compensation would be made towards us as a customer since I did have an email confirming my reservation he said I could join 40 other people in a wait line and maybe get in. I explained my one guest was elderly and couldn't possibly stand in line a lengthy time and the second was diabetic and couldn't wait an uncertain time frame to be seated and eat. I was told not to be so difficult. I was told to be there by 5pm to join this cattle line despite my confirmed reservation being 6pm. I explained my husband worked until 5pm which is why I had made my reservation for 6pm in the first place. Again I was told to stop being so difficult. In fact a total of four times I was told this. He retreated to it not being his problem and that it was the responsibility of the soft ware program makers despite Station Place having it's name and number and details all over the website. I said it felt like a reservation to them basically meant first come first serve. There is zero accommodating their mistake. I requested he make a reservation for me then on a different evening that suited my party and provide some sort of a discount. He asked me how much of a discount and I suggested he tell me as it was his restaurant and their reputation. I was then informed "they never give discounts." Initially I was led this man to be the owner only to be informed at the end that it was a floor manager of sorts with no authority to make anything right even though by now this was the third person I spoke too and had asked the second "manager" to have the owner contact me. Once again I asked him then to have the owner contact me. Guess what? Nearly 24 hrs later and four of my own calls back to Station Place I have yet to receive a call back from the owner. The last employee stated "We can't get ahold of him and no, don't know when he will be back and no...there is no manager here for you to talk too". It would seem no one in charge works at Station Place. How ridiculous. How unprofessional. Total FRAUD. Wouldn't recommend this two bit joint to my starving dog. Embarrassed to have such a trash restaurant in our city.
