This place is the best and if you want real Thai food in the Haight. This is the place to go. EXCELLENT and VEGGIE FRIENDLY!

Whenever I visit San Francisco I come to this restaurant at least once--sometimes twice--with friends and relatives. The combination of delicious food, reasonable prices, a warm and friendly atmosphere makes it a happy experience every time.

I've been going to Ploy II for years and never had a bad experience even when it is busy.
The food is great and they give you just enough attention as not to be annoying while dining, but not so much that you cannot get their attention if you need something Do not hesitate to visit while in town. Be aware they are closed on Sundays,Mondays.

This place is great. I highly recommend it to anybody who wants quality food, a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Don't forget about their delivery! -- Best Thai in upper haight for sure. Arguably one of the better ones in the city.

Ploy II is an exceptional Thai restaurant. It is pleasant inside, with a decent amount of open space, Thai art on the walls, friendly attentive service, good portions, reasonable prices, and rarely much of a wait. The curries are great, but the two dishes I would suggest, which I haven't found the like of at other Thai restaurants around town, are the lemon chicken and the garlic seafood combo.

No doubt, this is the best Thai restaurants in San Francisco as no other Thai restaurants within the area can match PLOY II in terms of excellent food at a very reasonable pricing. PLOY II is located in a quite and homely atmosphere of a renovated Victoria.
It is famous for Mango Panang Curry, Chicken Sa-Tay, Pad Thai Nodule, Tom Yum , Spicy Calamari Salad, Corn Cake and Mango with Sticky Rice. For more details of PLOY II specialties, see its website at: http://www.ployii.com/

This place is fab and the only thing that's changed about it in the 20 plus years i've been going there is the quality of the food. It's improved. A few more fancy dishes than your average bog-standard Thai place, and yes the portions are huge and the prices are so reasonable. Although the deliver you really should go there to eat in the cozy upstairs converted victorian environment.

GREAT food, attentive service, cozy atmosphere, and very decent prices (especially for the amount of food you get, and the location on Haight Street). It's kind of tucked away upstairs and probably loses some business because of it, but it keeps the wait down!!
