I have been a customer for over 10 years. We moved several years ago and still had to have Front Room pizza! However, something's changed and the service has been horrific. We ordered the usual pizza and salad one night in October. We called about 3 times to find out where the driver was but kept getting assurances that even though they didn't know where he was either, he would show up for sure. After a 2 hour wait, a drunken driver delivered our cold pizza and warm salad.
While hesitant, we decided to give it another try in November. I explained to the person on the phone taking my order what an awful experience we had and he felt genuinely bad and promised a pleasant experience. We waited an hour for our pizza and Chef salad - not the House salad we ordered because I am a vegetarian. I called him back and he promised to remove the cost of the salad from my credit card and give me a $10 credit the next time we ordered. The salad was never reimbursed.
Today was the next time we ordered. I got to speak to Lori directly who told me "that's not gonna happen, honey". I asked her why not, and she spoke a lot about how no one's allowed to give credits except for her. I asked why her employee would do that, then, and she had no answer other than a lot of negative dialogue. She was not a very nice person or good listener. In fact, she threatened to hang up on me if I didn't speak when she wanted me to because she has "hundreds of customers waiting."
Well, I don't think business will last much longer if you hire drunk delivery people, undermine your own staff, and condescend to your clients. I can't believe what an awful experience I've had with my favorite pizza place - but I'm not surprised to see I'm not the only one. At one point, they were great. At this point - they are practicing poor business and are absolutely obnoxious. And, after listening to the owner today, I can see how she is setting the tone and it's a shame.
