After waiting close to 2 hours for my food to be delivered, I received a completely raw hamburger and did not receive 2 orders of fries that were ordered. When I called to speak to management they said they could deliver the rest of the food in 40 minutes, I said if you can have the food to us in 15 minutes that will work otherwise we will take a refund. I was informed that they only issue store credits. After continued conversation the very rude manager agreed to credit the credit card and said it will take a few days to show up. Well over a week later we were never credited. I called back today and was told she is unable to offer refunds which is a lie and illegal. She insisted she issued an imaginary store credit but who would want to deal with this establishment again? We have started a dispute with the credit card company and will continue to contact all necessary business agencies in NY. This place should not be in business.

I purchased two boxes of pastry on Friday October 11 2019. I was a little suspicious when I saw the green nuts spreading into the whip cream on top of the pastry. When we tried the pastry they had a very heavy freon taste and smell. I can't imagine how long the pastry was in the freezer. I too am an old Tottenville original and the way the Veraarts ran the bakery was so different. Everything fresh. Immaculately clean, the girls wore uniforms, but most importantly the baked goods were second to none. At Christmas time they used to invite the children to come to the back of the bakery sit on Santa Claus's lap and receive a free bag of delicious cookies. It was like something out of a Norman Rockwell painting. The bakery is filthy dirty. The back is beyond horrendous. Too many negatives to mention.

This bakery is nothing like what Veraart's used to be. Veraart's as us old Tottenville folks know was a staple in the community for many years. It was quite simply the best. Mr. Veraart won many awards for his baking skills and his dedication to the community. He ran a class bakery. Nothing like what these guys are doing. Filthy trash in the back of the bakery, vermin remnants in the bakery itself. Girls who wait on customers are so loud and unprofessional. Doors broken and cracked on side of building. Bella Baci is a bakery to stay away from. The back is so dirty and disorganized. Yuk!
