Great Meal and Service

Doesn't even deserve a star. Wouldn't go again! We didn't want to wait in the heat at the Clam Shack next door and were desperate to get inside somewhere and this restaurant was the closest. Shabby old interior and slow/rude service. We waited 10 minutes just to order a drink and 15 more to order food. Got fish and chips and it was ok but the waitress was rude and lazy. She came by once to see how we were and at the end of the meal I went outside with my toddler while my husband paid the bill. He came out when he was done and we were standing outside deciding where to go next, when our waitress popped out, put something in the back bag of my stroller and said "put this in the baby's savings account." I looked and it was 2 dollars...I thought ok, that was nice I guess, she gave us some of her tip. THEN she walked by behind us to go to a table she was waiting on and I said "thank you, that was nice" Waitress turned to me and said (about her tip) "well it was 5% and it's INSULTING" (with a nasty look on her face) and shoved my money in my face. I was STUNNED. I didn't even know how to respond because I was so shocked that someone could be so rude. One...we tipped her more than $2 so why not give us all of it back and not two bills and Two...the amount of people that come through there (and only because of location or the place would have been closed long ago) and she gets insulted by MY tip. A tip she should be grateful to get given the economy and that we are all broke and pay way too much for mediocre food. I will not go there again.
