Reviews of Willie's Seafood Restaurant
07/23/2015 - love this place
I was not a huge seafood lover growing up(in my 50's)lived on Long island, but willies has converted me. i started out with the fish & chips, and now order the fried catfish(not fisshy tasting at all) great batter. I now even order the mai mai or white fish.even share my wifes salmon. We go just about every week, willies has great food(at a reasonable price)great service and a homestyle feel.see you tonight willies

1st time Friday night Jan 24 2014, had broiled shrimp, scallops and tilapia.
Great taste and prices and service.
I highly recommend the time to so, but go early because they are very busy!! All you can eat Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday!! Been owned by the same family since early 1970s!!

We always visit Willy's when we come into town (Valrico, FL). We have never been disappointed with our food selection. Our fish has always been fresh. The side dishes are excellent. This is not a fancy restaurant, but the food is as wonderful, if not better than the higher priced ones. Also the staff has always been courteous and so friendly. We love Willy's!!

The food is fantastic. A lot of places call themselves seafood restaurants and serve only fried food. This place does broiled and blackened, and doesn't mess it up. A lot of places have fry cooks. The raw seafood quality is top notch. It's fresh and the best picks. But, you can have the best picks and still mess it up with a bad cook. These peopl know what they're doing. If you're looking for somewhere fancy, you're looking for the wrong place. It's an old frame building with mounted fish and various other sea creatures on the walls. The prices are very reasonable. You could go to Red Lobster and get a meal that would cost $10 more and get half the quality, not to mention to atmosphere.

Willie's is incredible. The last time I had seafood that good was about 10 years ago at another local "Fish Camp" in Cape Cod. Sea scallops were sweet, melt in your mouth tender. Crab claw was perfect. Deviled Crab was stuffed and overflowing the shell with large chunks - batter dipped and deep fried greatness! I don't write reviews - Willies was worth every penny, and reasonably priced. We just found our new fav restaurant in the Tampa area.

Willie's is amazing! Iv'e been going there for 9 years and it is absolutely perfect! The grease is always fresh, so you are never tasting last weeks food in your fries. I love this restaurant just as much as I did when it was Fat Willie's Fish Camp. I would recommend the gator bites and the new orleans! The prices are great, too.
