I've avoided giving a negative review for the Hendersonville Arby's (store 1048) for a couple of years, hoping for improvement. But, today was the final straw. My wife and I went through the drive-thru ordering a full meal, including two (2) large fries. When we got home, the fries the employees selected for us were fully experienced. My wife bit one and said she couldn't bite through it. I tried, thinking she was kidding.. she wasn't. I dug through the less than full box, hoping only a few were like this, but they were all the same. I took one and crumbled it like a potato chip, then another. These were completely inedible. I then called the manager on duty (Joseph) and described the fries. Joseph said he had received multiple complaints and was aware it. He said the grease was too old and they were cooked much longer than required. He asked if we wanted to come back for replacements. I told him we were already home and would rather they just replace them on the next visit. Simple solution (I thought). After a pause, Joseph said "he could leave a note, but we would need to come back fairly soon, since such notes are quickly thrown away". At this point I told him to just forget it, they obviously weren't interested in making things right. Hearing this, he hung up without a word. I took pictures and video, only because no one would believe these fries otherwise, or think I'm exaggerating. Old, hard fries, with boxes never completely filled, have been a long standing tradition at this location. Frequently, "large" fries are less than half full and contain less than smaller size boxes. But, the bigger issue is the lack of employees caring about the product they serve, or the customers the sell them to. Even voicing concerns in the past has fallen on uncaring manager's ears. We've tried to show "managers" unfilled boxes several times, either by taking them back, of taking pictures next to smaller boxes, hoping they would correct this. But, have never even looked at what we were given, to understand what's actually being served. Nor, has one simply said they were sorry. Yesterday's visit was the same, with Joseph never showing the slightest concern. In fact, it clear how aggravated he was with our call. So this time I posted pictures and video online, alnong with reviews. If the managers don't care, maybe potential customers will benefit from our experiences. That said, my wife and I love Arby's and wish there was another location close to us. Sadly however, this is the only convenient location, where it seems employees and certainly managers, have no interest in food or service quality.
*Update - After finally sharing these ongoing issues with Arby's, we were contacted by Customer Care and offered a card to replace the last meal.
