Consistently delicious food. Excellent selection meats, vegetables and fresh baked deserts. Great service. Plenty of seating.

The staff is very personable. The food is delicious. I have not had a bad meal from this establishment. The desserts are delicious too.It is so good to have a great place to eat nearby. The only bad thing is that they are not open everyday. My favorite meal is the smothered pork chops, rice and gravy, collard greens, and yams.

The food was ok, oxtails was very pricey for 3 oxtails I don’t eat rice so when I asked for mashed potatoes instead I was told I can’t substitute so the potatoes was one of my sides. I was only able to get one more side.

To the person that posted on 10/2520. This is a newly black owned restaurant, not pappadeaus who have operated for years with several restaurants all over the country. It is very inconsiderate for you to post such a horrible message and want to sit there at such a time when there is a sign that tells you what time the restaurant closes. People have lives to live outside of YOU!!! Plan accordingly and don't batter our black owned business to fit your purpose. These are really good Christian people trying to earn a living just like YOU!!!! How dare YOU!!!

Stopped in today...food was just ok. The mac and cheese was loose and RUNNY barely had any cheese in it. However, the staff was friendly and very nice. The greens were ok and a lil salty for my taste. The candy yams lacked CANDY AND FLAVOR!!! PRICES WAS HIGH

My husband, daughter, and I met up with my son, his girlfriend, and her parents from out of town. We met up at Micheaux's in Missouri City. The food was okay, everything was hot. We had reservations for 6 and it closes at 7. The problem was that we sat there well past 7 just socializing, like we've done so many times before at other restaurants. One of the waitresses brings my husband the phone with the owner on the other end of the line. He proceeds to tell my husband that if we continue to sit there, he would have to pay his workers overtime. I'm sorry, WHAT?!! This is why it's hard to support black businesses sometimes. We have sat in Papadeaux's after they closed and we never got any complaints. That was our first time and last time going to Micheaux's. We were embarrassed because that was my son's girlfriend's parents' first impression of our city. They said that it had never happened to them before, either. We spend $125 there, at that! Smh!
