Sorry...but this is no better than other steak places I've been to. They charge way too much for what you get.

We ordered To Go because we live nearby. The website was not helpful at all because menu items and prices are different. (Less items, less food, more money) The food was just ok. I had the shrimp and grits and the grits were bland. Like, not seasoned AT ALL. I've had this dish before and it was much better. Idk if it was a new cook or what. Maybe Anthonie should spend more time teaching his cooks how to cook his dishes like they had been before the pandemic rather than drinking and schmoozing at the bar. Overpriced and just NOT worth it. Looking forward to Saltgrass coming to Fulshear to challenge this place.

Haven't been to ur restaurant yet. Was trying to look at ur menu to see if their is steaks on ur menu. So far wat I saw in the videos everything looked delicious. Might be in the area soon to enjoy ur food. I'm thinking since ur in texas I'm sure u will have steak and beer just like a texas menu should have.
By the way I was reading done of the reviews on here seems everyone enjoyed the menu except for one person who left u 1 star. It sounded like he enjoyed the food but that one thing got his goat so he had to make an -ss out of himself. Personally I don't think the hostess meant anything by he saying if u don't wear a mask at least smile. I think she was being nice and was joking with u. Especially when u weren't wearing a mask. Be glad she didn't kick u out of the restaurant for not wearing one. Wat did u want anthony to do fire the hostess for trying to be nice and funny. Did u want ur $200 bucks back cause her joke wasn't funny to u. Anyways it was just a joke get over it. U were on date night u shouldn't let things bother u so much. Ok hope to see u soon.

Last night my husband and I went to Anthonie's for a much anticipated date night. At the conclusion of the dinner, I excused myself to use the restroom. I forgot my mask, which I realized wasn't that big of a deal because the mask policy seemed relaxed and many people inside going to and from the bathroom did not have masks on. As I walked around the hostess booth inside towards the bathroom, a server said to me "If you're not gonna wear your mask, at least smile."

Um, what?

I nervously laughed (my defense mechanism) and about five steps later what he said registered. I WAS LIVID.

A male (or female for that matter) should NEVER tell another female to smile. This is entirely sexist, and for whatever reason this server singled me out. I don't have to smile if I don't want to, I don't have to smile if there is a hustle and bustle that I am trying to navigate around in a very crowded situation, and I SURE AS HELL do not have to smile to make YOU feel better for whatever reason.

I requested to speak to a manager, and a woman was sent over to speak with me. I told her about the situation and she was very apologetic and embarrassed about what was said to me. She said she would bring Anthonie over so he could hear about the situation. After upwards of 20 minutes he finally sauntered over to our table, drink in hand, to speak with me. Our meal was finished, we had paid, so we were just sitting there waiting for him to come to our table.

During that conversation Anthonie agreed that what the server said to me was inappropriate but he chose to do nothing to make the situation better or to make me feel heard. He offered no concrete solution of how he would resolve this issued with this misogynistic staff member. He told me to "trust him." I said that his lack of ability to offer a valid solution other than to "trust him" pretty much guaranteed that my family will not be back as customers. He very flippantly replied "Oh, you'll be back." Anthonie's attitude was very arrogant and cocky and dismissive.

We spent over $200 on our meal. I walked away in frustration, feeling disregarded and unheard. Anthonie's flippant attitude about this issue was even worse than the comment made by the server. It is clear how he runs his place.

We have been coming to Anthonie's for years. We have celebrated birthdays, Mother's days, and everything in-between. We made a cognizant effort to order takeout during the shutdown to help support one of our favorite local places. None of that mattered to Anthonie. He seemed pretty ok with losing two longtime, loyal customers. I did not feel that we were treated as valuable customers, and as a result, we will not be returning.

Additionally, I attempted to leave a review on the Katy/Ft. Bend foodie page and my post was not approved as it seems the admins of that page very much serve Anthonie and his interests on social media.

(Side note: we ordered the charcuterie board and they brought out 1/3 of what is usually on the board and still charged the full $35. We also ordered the chocolate cake for dessert and it was a glorified brownie and not the usual layered treat. Their quality has also gone down, and I was overall disappointed with the meal.)
