Placed a order at the check out register the girl taking my order was rude and no personality. This was on 12/05/2022 Alvin location no welcome or good evening? Just stared at me until I placed my take out order

Been going here for years. Quality has seriously slipped. Gave them 3 tries in one week .I will not be going back.

First of all, this review is not about Kelley's food, which is, and always has been great. It's about their business practices. I wrote this review 1.5 weeks ago about an incident that occured on Easter Sunday (4/17/22). But, at the last minute, I didn't post it due to a call from Kelley's Alvin Management (one of the Kelley family to be exact), which resolved the issue, or so I thought. My mother went to Kelley's Alvin with a friend for Easter dinner, which happened to be 2 days after we buried my father, so you could imagine how she was feeling. She called me and asked if I wanted her to bring me something and I said yes. I ordered a Sunday special (1 entree, 3 sides). The waitress was somewhat rude and informed her that since it was a holiday, you could only get 2 sides instead of 3 FOR THE SAME PRICE!!! This was not indicated online!! That policy should have been posted on the Kelley's website! To me, this is classic bait and switch. I told her not to get me anything at all, but of course she did anyway. I was absolutely furious, as this is no way to run a business. It's similar to a car dealership posting an ad for one price, and then when you show up to buy the car, it's already been sold and they try to switch you to a more expensive car. It's not the money, but the principle. Anyway, I called just to vent my frustrations about this policy, and didn't ask for anything. A little while later, The Kelley's Alvin mgr called me and agreed with me that the way the waitress went about informing my mother of this policy could have been done better, and informed me that supposedly they have been having issues with their online system, but agreed that this should not have happened. She said that she would send me a gift card the next day, and it should arrive by Wednesday 4/19/22. Here it is 4/27/19, and still no gift card. Remember, I never asked for anything in the first place, so I refuse to call them about it. If a business can't follow through on THEIR course of action to resolve an issue, then I have absolutely no use for them, and will NEVER patronize Kelley's Alvin again, which is no big deal to them, but I, and my family will save a few hundred dollars a year. I run a business, and I would NEVER treat my customers like this. If I post a price sheet reflecting my prices, then that's what my customers pay. I don't reel them in and change the policy for a holiday, or any other day. I'm sorry for the long review, but I wanted to tell the complete story...Goodbye Kelley's!! End of rant...

Great food lots of food good prices and Charles the server from alvin location provided excellent service while dining there very quick and helpful

Went to Kelly's waiting an hour to order my Thanksgiving dinner waited for 2 hours and still never received my Thanksgiving dinner was not attended to very nicely worst experience ever Will definitely never be back

Kelly's Alvin is our favorite of all Kelly's and our homestyle meal choice when dining out for many years. Anyone can have a 'bad experience' without bashing the basis. Today's MAMA's meatloaf that we ordered take-out was not what it has always been....the meat was tough and the texture actually required using a knife, and no sight of the usual vegs in the meatloaf, perhaps too much bread and eggs, very compacted. This negatively affected the flavor. I expect management would appreciate knowing this coming from a long-time patron. I ask the cook...'please use MAMA's recipe and same ingredients as used before that makes this a popular go-to meal choice.and make MAMA and us happy!' Thank you and we look forward to visiting Kelly's Alvin always for GREAT MENU and GREAT SERVICE... a genuine 5 star homestyle food restaurant.

Vegetable soup is the worst I have ever had. I placed a to go order and I got carrots and green beans, no beef. Called the manager to complain. Took the soup back the next day to show the manager and I got a better batch. The manager never apologized and she looked like she was bothered. Will never go back to Kelly's!!

I am a nurse and had a patient not doing good and he really needed to eat. When I ask him what he wanted, he said Liver and Onions. So I called my husband and he went to Kelly's and ask them. Even though it was not a Liver and Onions day, they made it for him. I want you to know he ate it all and said it was the best Liver and Onions he ever had. I want to thank Kelly's for making a little ole man very happy and a nurse happy to see her patient eat. You guys have no idea the impact it had for him and the moral of the staff to see him eat and the love that was shared. Kudos to Kellys
