Had a fabulous meal there last night, great food, service and atmosphere. Reminds me of Austin and NYC!

Terrible. The service was terrible not to mention very shy, shouldn’t be a waitress if your not confident. Food was absolutely terrible NO FLAVOR. The noodles were undercooked as well.
Definitely recommend Romas Italian their food is amazing & always have flavor & their not even Italian cooks, their Hispanic sad that they cook better than the Italian race at San Remos.

So we went 2/12 around 4ish the door was mass confusion no one to check in with after being ignored for 15mins finally got someone attention. After being seated we placed our drink orders when the server brought our drinks we immediately knew it was incorrect Nick swore up and down it was correct but even other guest knew the drinks were incorrect when we asked another server she confirmed they were incorrect and when the bartender was asked she didn't remember what she made us. We were never offered bread when asked it took 30mins before it came and when it did it was wrapped in foil as a to go order. Our food was cold when it came out no dinner salads served with entrees just another disappointing Italian experience in Sulphur Springs we were given candles that weren't even lighted it just seem training is needed before they have real success if your staff isn't confident or sure about the product how can we guest be confident about what we are receiving. Very Disappointed that we didn't just drive to Rockwall to eat

We went to this restaurant 1/30/22 . Our foods sauce was very watery and lacked flavor. Bread was stale and cold, one of our family members ordered the spaghetti with MEAT sauce and when it arrived it did not contain meat sauce but just watery pasta sauce, also the inside of the restaurant was very nice but there was a child running around a throwing a ball that went beneath tables. Our waiter seemed to not pay attention to our needs. Staff was not friendly at all and owners didn’t seem to care that we did not have a pleasant time eating there food. Certain dishes were not available and they should of said that before we ordered so that we are not dissatisfied. And we asked for lemons in our water and they claimed to not have lemons but we saw the owners beer had lemon slices and he had multiple drinks while we were there all with lemons. Also multiple people went in the kitchen without hairnets or aprons just touching food. Not to mention that it took very long to get our food to our table. Over all our experience at this restaurant was less than savory, I would not recommend this to anyone that I care about because it gave us very bad bowel movements. It is just not a good place to eat at. This is a disgrace to the Italian culture!

The negative reviews I have read on here are sad. Several years ago we ate there "once a week" because we went to Sulphur Springs on Sundays, now we go when we can and look forward to it every time. I cook everything from scratch and don't like to eat out much...I'm too picky. LOL
Fantastic Food and I'm Italian!

We run a busy business in another town and I send people there all the time who really want "Great food" they come back thanking us over and over.
So if you get a chance to go to Sulphur Springs, TX I highly recommend San Remo!

nexus-broadcast is an idiot, i know the waitress that was helping him and she told me about this story. nexus-broadcast fabricated most of what he was saying and the blonde woman in the back wasn't a manager, his waitress, and was no where near his food. the hair in his salad came from one of the two blonde women that were sitting with him. their food has always been amazing to me.

The service wasn't bad except the waitress sneezed in her hands , then grabbed my drink to get me a refill and brought back the same glass almost immediately. Shouldn't waitresses know to sneeze in your elbow? The bread tastes like its been cooked in a dirty oven and I ordered an entree that was so terrible I had to send it back (which I never do). So they brought me a different entree that yet again was disgusting because the noodles were underdone, it was greasy and that's what it tasted like with very little seasoning with a piece of chicken bone in my chicken. I feel so gross after having to eat that and I'm never coming back again. If it wasn't for my rush to eat and get back to work Iwouldnt have eaten it at all.

It sounds to me like the previous reviewer had more issues than the restaurant. I understand not wanting to eat a salad because of the hair but they make those fresh and they don't come out of a singular container. None of the owners have blonde hair eIther. They're all Italian with black or brunette haIr. The dressing is s vinaigrette and is fantastic. It's great on salads and on the rolls. Everything I've tried has been great. I'll admit the service lacks a little friendliness at times but it just depends on who you get as a server.

I have been to the restaurant a few times over the years. It is the only Italian restaurant in the area. Their attitude has always been flippant and the food just ok. This past weekend 8/11/12 we took a friend to eat here. Again the borderline rude attitude prevailed. We all ordered salads. When the salad arrived I ate a few bites then noticed a long blonde hair in the salad. We sent all the salads back as we had lost our appetite for the salads at that point. A few minutes later the main dishes arrived. They were ok – but my chicken was not done thoroughly – but I ate around the poorly cooked area.

I am not one to normally complain about something in a restaurant. When the bill arrived they had removed ONE of the salads from the bill. We asked for the other two to be removed and the waitress response was “what was wrong with them?”. Well the came out of the same container that the other salad with the hair came out of, and frankly we’ve lost our trust in the cleanliness of the restaurant. It might be safe to eat the cooked food, but something cold is a gamble. The salad dressing was horrible anyway. They told us vinaigrette, but it was more of a the red french dressing for kids. What kind of Italian restaurant doesn’t have Italian salad dressing? From across the restaurant I gazed up a set of vinegar and oil shakers, but these weren’t offered. We asked for the other two salads to be removed.

The manager came out who again asked what was wrong with the salads. She went further to state that no one there had blonde hair, but added my wife did. As she says this I am looking at a blonde haired woman in the back who I believe is one of the owners. Clearly this is where the hair came from. Some words were exchanged and a loud scene led by the manager ensued.

We were more embarrassed for them and the other customers than the manager, my wife paid with Cash minus a tip to cover the salads and horrendous handling of the situation. But it doesn’t cover the horrible / shocking experience. The manager also said that she had a bug in her food in a Dallas restaurant and all they gave her was 10% off! I wasn’t asking for a free dinner – I just didn’t want to pay for food we could not safely eat. Not only did she expect us to pay full price (which is what we intended) but also pay for the food with hair in it. She did not see this as a major problem at all and seemed surprised we didn’t just pull out the hair and eat it anyway. This restaurant needs to be closed down by the heath department, unfortunately Sulphur Springs does not have such enforcement. My advice is to stay far away from this place for your own safety.
