Karichimaka, which means "a pool of clear water", It's a Kickapoo-indian word, opened it's doors in 1949, making it the second oldest restaurant in the Tucson Valley. Annually; it has closed the Sunday before the Fourth of July and re-opened the first Tuesday of August. Other wise it's always open for the hours listed except for Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Day, and New Years Eve and Day. There is a large dining room off the main dining room that can be set up to accommodate approximately 114 people. Walk-in 'please wait to be seated' or reservations. As of the 2010 season; Some or All Prices Are Changing, (I don't know little or much for both monetary or how many dishes and drink will be included). Not all major credit cards are accepted. Dining rooms are handicap accessible. The bar is no longer open, though beer and wine are still served.
