This place is AMAZING! I lived in Russia for a few years after college and I really enjoyed the food I had there. After I moved to Tucson it was really hard to find anything Eastern European. Luckily, I found European Market. They have everything I used to eat in Russian, and they even have hot lunch. Last week I had the potato perogi and they were hot and full of stuffing...just like they were supposed to be. I come here at least once a week, so much nostalgia

Enjoyed the service and atmosphere. Waitress was very helpful in selecting from the wide assortment of eastern European and Eurasian beers and food. The gyro platter as an appetizer was excellent!

Went there for lunch with 6 of my friends, we were seated within minutes, the service was great, the food was excellent, big portions to. The taste totally remind me of my grandmother's cooking. We even had time to do a little shopping in the deli section of the store, I got two different cuts of fresh salami and several different types of European beer while my friend got some European style cheese and wine for her party later. I noticed they had a bunch of Russian gifts that I definitely will be back for later.
I must admit the prices were more than fair for everything and the awesome experience made me feel like I'm in Europe.
Totally recommended this place to all, definitely will be back.
Thanks European Market for the amazing experience.

First of all, I have a couple of questions:
1. Are those who have previously written reviews still alive after eating in this establishment?
2. How does it stay in business?
I really looked forward to my visit to this place, mostly based on the pictures from the net and cravings for some tasty salamis (which are so good elsewhere).
Well, I do not know what on Earth can bring me back!
The place looks nice but WHAT A TERRIBLE STINK INSIDE. The store screams "I'm a Waste Management long forgotten pick-up site".
They have a rather poor selection of meats/salamis/dairy products, maybe if it was cheap ... but it's absolutely not. I've been to a similar store in a south-eastern city twice as small as Tucson and their prices are so reasonable and despite the heat they managed to keep their products fresh and nice looking. Here my favorite salamis were separated from their greasy wrapping, as well as the rest of the stuff was covered in a greasy dust. If I had pigs I would have never made them eat in there. All the groceries look (and smell, for this matter) as if they were thrown away from a Soviet era bomb shelter which is not far from a reality, I guess, but to keep them honest they should have come up with a different name for the store.
Oh, one good thing, there is a nice selection of Russian/Czech beers - for almost $4.00 per bottle.
The bottom line: if anyone has ever been so unfortunate as to go to the yuckiest Russian bathroom - congratulations! - there are worst places out there!
