Am a new customer who happened to stumble across one of the best restaurants in the city for Greek/Mediterranean cuisine. The owner is an extremely nice gentleman as well as the entire staff. Food is reasonably priced and well worth every cent. I have not had a gyro that good since I lived in Chicago. The Musaka was also great and the baklave was the best baklave I have had in years, homemade and fresh. This place is a must go you will not regret it!

The food is authentic, and I love the atmosphere, which evokes memories of the eastern Mediterranean.
There are a number of healthy entrees, particularly in respect to the salads. The coffees are rich.
In addition to the evening meals, it is nice to have breakfast outside and chat with friends or read the newspaper. Thanks to Tucson's climate, outdoor breakfasts are available year around.
The owner and his staff, which includes his son, are unfailingly courteous and attentive.and they generate a feeling of warmth and hospitality.

This is a "must visit" every time I come to Tucson to see my Mom. Just a hole in the wall, but the food is great, service has always been great... very casual... but very satisfactory!!
And the turkish coffee at the end of the meal is a must have!!

My favorite place to eat when I feel like Mediterranean food! The gyros are the best I have ever had an the tabouli salad is amazing. Great for both meat eaters and vegetarians. Nice staff and owner. One of my must stops when I'm in town.

Went in wearing casual clothes and was told they'd be with me in a minute. A gentleman walked in wearing a suit and the man at the counter told me to wait while he served the gentleman that just walked in after I had been waiting there for several minutes. I walked right out. Honestly, my worst dining experience ever. By all means, if you ever wondered what it would be like to be treated like a second-class human being, here's a great opportunity. I'm nearly certain the guy who served me was the owner. I am disgusted.

I have been searching all over this town for a lace that serves good Greek food at a decent price. Just when I thought it was a lost cause, I stumbled upon the Sunrise Cafe'. I have never had a better gyro in my life. They have an array of appetizers, delicious entrées, and by far the best baklava in the state. They also wonderful breakfast that is served until 3 PM every day. They have very friendly and fast service, despite what the gentleman below might say. If I ever had to wait for my food it was always well worth it. I give the Sunrise Cafe' two thumbs up.

I stopped in at Sunrise Cafe this morning, went to the counter, and ordered coffee and a bagel. I was told it would be "just a minute" while they toasted the bagel. I stood and waited there while the counter person kept telling it would only be "just a couple minutes more". After what seemed forever, one of the kitchen personnel walked out. I politely excused myself for interrupting her, but said that I had waited almost half an hour for a toasted bagel. She replied that they were busy. I said that I could understand that, but that it should not take thirty minutes to toast a bagel. Instead of going intro the kitchen to check on my order, she went to the cash register, pulled out the tape, and told me that I had ordered at 9:12 and had only been waiting ten minutes! Since it was past 9:30, I suggested to her that her math was wrong. She replied that I should feel free not to return, walked into the kitchen and returned with the wrapped bagel. The delay was annoying, but her rudeness was unacceptable. I will never go back there.

Excellent traditional Mediterranean fare and for only $10-15. Convenient. Their "Zazeke" (Tzatziki) sauce makes the gyros as flavorful as any you'll find in Tucson. Atmosphere is ok; nicer outside when Sep-Apr. We take out often.
