If you haven't been to this place give it a try.
Great food, the owners are awesome and the food is fantastic. Best beef sandwich around.

Exceptionaly respectful and friendly service. Tried it on a lark and will be back. Chicago style polish was enormous and fresh. And the have RC and Hires root beer.

I drove by Kenny D's many, many times. The outside is not much to look at. Finally, I decided to give it a try and my-oh-my, I'm glad I did! The Italian Beef is fantastic!! I got introduced to Italian Beef by Luke's on Ft. Lowell and never thought I would find anything on the east side that could compare, but I'm glad to say that I was wrong! I love the crinkle cut fries, always hot and just the way I like them. I've also tried the burger (half pound is a lotta food), the gyro (good, but not Greek restaurant good, the meat and veggies are fresh, the pita is a little off sometimes and the tzatziki is not quite Greek) I order it often for a change of pace, when I want something lighter, still a solid choice, Ruben (delicious and a bit greasy, because the bread is grilled after the sandwich is made & very salty - but it's a Ruben :) ) and the pastrami - it's a roll with a pile of pastrami, cheese, a pickle spear and a dash of mustard - pure and unadulterated. Oh, and the Chicago Dog too - everything a dog should be, but I'm not from Chicago. I just like dam* good food. Kenny D's is a gem...a diamond in the rough. My 16 year old daughter and I now eat here about once a week. It is that good. If you are on a diet - don't bother, otherwise, ENJOY!!! Oh, the regular Italian Beef is really large and I can eat a lot of food. The Jr. and half fry is about perfect.

It is a shame that a couple of people can try and screw it up for everyone. This place is busy all the time. Why, because the food is AWESOME! I have been eating there for years and have always enjoyed it. The people and the food always exceed my expectations. Keep up the great work!!!

Kenny D’s 1 & 2 are both BAD for YOU! Service is bad. Sandwiches are bad. Prices
are bad. Atmosphere is way bad. Why would Kenny open #2, when # 1 needs a total makeover? I miss the Sonic that used to be at the #2. There is never anybody at the # 2. I wonder why? Kenny, Chicago wants you back home.
