Part owner Bill Grant is the rudest, unprofessional restaurant owner/ worker that I have ever encountered.
If he is present with his good old boy baseball cap on.. run.
Bill Grant emits a stunning spectacle of red neck greed and bad etiquette.

Went to R Bar off peak time 140 pm on a Sunday. Went there with another friend and we both had our dogs.
The entire reason we went to R Bar was to sit on a sunny patio with our dogs and enjoy food and drinks.
The host wanted to seat us a small table for 2 with the table pushed up against the building. There was not room to be comfortable for me with my medium sized puppy. My puppy would have been in the walking path. I asked if we could sit at the open table on the outdoor patio and we were moved to it. That table happened to have a bench and chairs, so it was a table for 6.
A few minutes after being seated, a man came up to the table and told us we could not sit there, that the table was for a large party and there was a wait list.
There was no line after us, no one waiting on a table anywhere. R Bar does not take reservations in advance. I did not understand this.
I commented that I did not want to move because the whole reason we chose to come to R Bar was to sit outside in the sun. The man insisted that we had to move to the enclosed patio. Nonetheless, after protest and feeling grumpy about it, I moved to a table in the enclosed area of the patio which had tons of dirty and open tables and I decided to make the best if it. My friend wanted to eat there or I would have left and chosen any other patio restaurant in the area.
About 10 minutes after we were moved, a single male with an infant in a carrier sat down at the table we were moved from.
At first, logic begged that this single male with baby was waiting for a larger party.
That was not the case at all. I watched him served his hot drink, then cold drink, then his entree which he was finishing when I was waiting to pay. I had one drink and one entree, so our seating times were close together.
It should be noted that about 1/2 way through the meal, the man who force seated us at the enclosed patio table, came up and closed the shades just where we were seated. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon and I had made it a point to mention that I wanted to sit in the sun. I didn’t understand this.

As I was waiting to pay my tab, I saw the man in the baseball cap who had force seated us at the alternate table. As he came closer to our table I called him over. I asked why we had been force seated elsewhere and then watched a single man sit and enjoy his meal where we had not been allowed to sit.

Instead of this man saying.. that’s confusing or I can see how this looks,or any concession, the man bent bent down, nearer to my face as I was seated and in a hissing voice started saying, “you want to know why.. I’ll tell you why…”
He preceded to say that there was a huge wait for that table an hour and a half ago when we arrived. I did state that wasn’t the case. We had barely been in the restaurant 30 - 40 minutes.
No one was waiting after us and there was not a single other person or group seated anywhere on the patio in the time we were there.
The baseball cap man argued that I was wrong and announced that he was the owner.
I said to him that if he was the owner I would not be coming back.
He then told me that was good, that he did not want me there, did not want me in his restaurant.
Pretty shocking how unprofessional this man was, who I have learned was part owner, Bill Grant.
My friend learned that the solo man seated at the table for 6 was married to our waitress.
So, apparently, a solo person eating on employee discount has priority seating above paying customers.
Made me really wonder how this part owner was actually determining table seating. He lied and then became nasty and abusive toward me when I questioned it.
The food and drinks are average in quality and are overpriced. The part owner is a liability to the business with zero customer skills if the customer is not some type of VIP. I definitely won’t be in this establishment again.

Last night, my wife and 3 other couples went to the R Bar to finish our night after having dinner at Doc’s. First, the waiter told us numerous times that he was working a double the next day and pressured us to tab out so he could “get out early.” Second, while we were sitting on the patio, we asked if they could turn down and or change the music from the Drake and 2 Chainz that was blaring so loudly we could barely converse to ANYTHING less loud or with less F Bombs or N words. The waiter told us the bartender controlled the radio so... “no.” Third, after spending two plus hours there, (and spending what you’d expect in that amount of time), we received our tickets. They were incorrect. We just settled up between us rather than inconvenience the waiter who needed to leave early. Fourth, the staff shut off the lights and heater outside at 10 until midnight. No communication about that, just an unceremonious way of letting us know it was time to go. We ordered rides and went inside since the heater was now off and waited. Although we were no longer welcome to stay, the bartender’s six friends sitting at the bar yucking it up about our request to change the music, were still being served alcohol after last call. Finally, one of our friends had the hiccups so she asked the bartender for a glass of water. She began drinking it with her head tipped upside down to try and get rid of them. At that point one of the bartender’s over-served friends began yelling at our friend to “GO OUTSIDE IF YOU’RE GOING TO GET SICK! YOU’RE EFFING 6 FEET FROM THE DOOR!” This caught the waiter’s attention who rather than checking on our friend or offering to help, chose to pile on and also yell at her to get outside. When we explained she wasn’t sick and was trying to get rid of hiccups, the drunk fiend of the bartender doubled down and yelled at her to get out, again. At this point, our friend’s husband intervened and walked up to the bar and asked the drunk to stop disrespecting his wife. Rather than deal with her drunk friend, the bartender choose to kick her and her husband out of the bar. I mean... we have LOTS of places we could spend our money as places begin opening back up. The R bar will NOT be one of them so long as it is nothing more than a personal little spot for a rude bartender to over serve her friends and tolerate their belligerence when they harass otherwise good customers. Done with it....
