I would just like to say that my friends & I will NEVER visit this place again! We had a good time despite the substandard food & horrible treatment from the waitstaff & owner/manager. In celebration of my cousin's nuptials on the following day, we decided to go to Carettas Cafe. Not knowing the owner/manage was a rude racist! An older lady in our party had a hard time understanding the old plastic menus & tried to order Nachos. The waitress wrote down something different than what she told her. When the plate came it had potato skins on them. The waitress told there has been a mistake. The waitress went to the back got the owner/manager who was some big Caucasian dude who immediately came to our table & rudely told the lady why didn't she read the menu as he held it in her face. He told her she could have read what she was ordering. He ordered her to pay for this meal or be arrested. She told him she never touched or ordered the plate & that she was note paying for this $6.75 plate that she didn't order. He called the police to this crowded restaurant on this older lady in our group. She refused still to pay for this plate because she did not order it. As things got heated, the police officer says that this gentlemen wants the plate paid for so he doesn't have to take a loss. She says but I didn't order potatoes, I ordered nachos. Another lady from our group offered to pay for the plate. We were treated very rudely & we were embarrassed beyond belief & very offended by the actions of this restaurant. We did enjoy the karaoke, but we can do that somewhere else that's pleasant. The waitress never refilled our drinks (water/soda) just to give out the tickets. She was the worst waitress I have ever encountered & I am a great tipper but this one time I could not make myself do it. There is more that happened with the waitress but this is long enough. We will never visit this place with horrible service again!!!
