Been eating here since we lived in Somis over 25 years ago. Has changed owners but food and prices are still outstanding.

My buddies have been raving about this hole in the wall Mexican cafe for years, but when my girlfriend said she tried it with her sister and they loved it, well I thought I better make the drive to Somis to check it out. Nothing fancy, but it is like taking a step back in time to a clean old-fashioned friendly place that obviously deserves their reputation for great authentic Mexican food. God, it's delicious and so much I couldn't finish the burrito boat. Fresh ingredients that produce amazing soups and cauldos, tamales, picante Chili Verde, tender chicken enchiladas, Al Pastor and Chili Colorado platos. Somis Cafe and the great folks running the place have made me a believer that "you CAN go home again", at least to mom's sambroso hearty foods.
