Decades have passed since I last stepped foot in this bakery, but the nostalgia hits me like a ton of bricks, reminding me of my grandma's love for it back in the '60s. The array of assorted cookies gifted to me brought back memories, with the ginger cookie stealing the show - a must-try if you're a fan of that fiery flavor! The diner experience is next on my list when I swing by Victoria; the simple, old-timey vibes and welcoming service at this iconic spot have left a lasting impression.

Vintage bakery and cafe. Excellent Covid response, social distancing, masks and kindness. Really great service, tasty menu and delicious desserts.

Ordered and just picked up a 12" black forest cake (almost $60) for our daughter's birthday party - I wanted a special chocolate cake but it was extremely average, tasted like it was from a mix. The butter cream frosting was so thin we couldn't even taste it (less than 1/4" on top and filling). The cherry filling tasted like it was from a can of cherry pie filling - disappointing cake that wasn't special in any way.
Don't know what family runs this bakery but the rude young woman who eventually waited on us (after skipping our number and blatantly ignoring our protests) might been some family member who very obviously did NOT want to be there.
Bad experience all - around, we are NEVER going back.
