While in the area to bike and hike, we stopped in at Speedys Chuckwagon for breakfast at the recommendation of locals. The phrase "don't judge a book by it's cover" applies here. The food was fantastic! Among the 4 of us, we had 2 orders pancakes with eggs and bacon, a 3-stack of pancakes, 2 sides of home fries, a biscuit, and a coffee and soda. The pancakes and eggs were the best I've had at any price. Everything else was very good. And all you can drink water - free of any taste of minerals or chemicals. Service was friendly and leisurely. As for atmosphere, eating breakfast in a cinder block building with bait and beanie weenies has a certain appeal. Total bill came to under $14 dollars!
