We were on our way home from the beach, when we saw this place, the parking lot was full, so we gave it a try. They had a banquet, and the wait staff was slow. We ordered the special Stuffed Cabbage, I had a side of chicken orzo soup, my wife had cole slaw. The stuffed cabbage appeared and tasted like it was frozen and nuked, the meat was solid, not at all juicey , the marinara sauce also tasted like it came from a can. The soup, cole slaw and desert were awesome, we would give them 5 stars. The waitress never even stopped to see if we needed refills. After reading all the reviews, and seeing how the hamburgers looked we might give it a second try. Just don't order the stuffed cabbage.

My wife and I catered a company function. I stopped to pick up the food at the Mom and Pop's for my wife's company function on Oct 21, 2014. I was met by a short senor "Greek" man who told me to come to the side of the building. I thought this was odd. I tried to drive by the side of the building, but the alley there was already blocked by a vehicle. I got out of my car and I was approached by this "Greek" man. He was bringing out the hot food in tin foil trays that was way to flimsy to have held food without a metal tray for support. This restaurant did not even supply carryout bags for the food. This "Greek" man put all of our food on the dirty ground. The wind was blowing, insects and who knows what else was in the air or ground. The plastic lids were flimsy and did not stay on. I address the man and asked him why he did not put this food in my car. He said " I am too busy and don't have the time. I was in shock. The food was extremely hot and I did not have pot holders to hold the flimsy metal trays. I found some gym cloths in my car and I got the food loaded in to the car. I had previously went into the restaurant 2 times before was given the name of the owner Barbara. I was made to feel by the waitress like I had done something wrong and now the focus was on my attitude. Who would not be upset? My food was placed on the dirty ground. Does this restaurant and owners not train their people in customer service and keeping the consumers food in sterile environment? I would never eat there again for the way I was treated and how our food was done. I took photos of what happened and sent them to the food inspectors of Norfolk for review. I did have the opportunity to talk to the owner of the restaurant, Barbara on 10/27/2014 at 12:28pm. Barbara is claiming that her experience help said that I refused to allow her people to load my vehicle with the hot food. This is soo incredible and unbelievable that this is way they want do business!!!! I understand they may also own The Little creek diner off of 7941 Halprin Dr, Norfolk, VA 23518, Ships Cabin 4110 E Ocean View Ave Norfolk, VA 23518 and the Bel Aire 1613 E Little Creek Rd, Norfolk, VA 23518. If these and other businesses do belong to Barbara, I can only hope they will learn from what happened at the Mom and Pop's location. Please do not blame your former customers for you failure to properly run your business. The responsibility for this is yours Barbara!!....What goes on behind your closed doors?
