This was my third time at Fat Tony's Italian Pub and I am finally writing a review. As previous reviewers have mentioned, the atmosphere is fantastic. We requested a table inside (last time we were outside), and the table was right up front looking out onto the hustle and bustle of downtown Wilmington's Front Street. My only complaint was that the window could have been a little lower so we could see out better. The interior of Fat Tony's looks old world and classic. The food is fantastic and plentiful. The service is superb. No complaints. No criticism.

My husband and I went to enjoy a St. Patrick's Day and we ended up waiting for an hour for our food before we canceled our order. The waitress spoke to the manager about our disappointment...the manager walked by our table without a word....the waitress came by and told us that the manager wanted us to pay for our drinks, but she apologized and took care of them instead. As walking out, we asked to talk to the manager. We expressed our disappointment. His response was "it is our policy to pay for what you drink". Which we didn't drink our beers because they were warm by the time we got word that our food was going to take longer. And his next response was "We'll it is St. Patrick's Day your food is going to take longer" No apology, No intention to try to make us happy. This was the worse.

This was our 1st visit -used our entertainment book coupon. Our waiter was an asset to this establishment haven't had such good service with smile a long time. Great food! We'll be back!

Coudn't disagree with the previous review more. Almost like we went to a different place. I went to the Fat Tony's in Wilmington NC with a group and we all loved it. Can't wait to go back. I don't remember too much about the service, but the food was great. Maybe it's good if you don't remember the service. I read on another sight that they have a new manager. Maybe that's why.

Spinach artichoke dip is really good and a great Beer selection. Pizza is ok generous toppings. Worst service I have ever seen, evertime i go it seems to be worse then before, but my fiancee loves the spinach artichoke dip so we keep going back. Not a bad spot after or before a festival.

12/30/2007 - This place was extremely unsanitary.
The food probably would have been good except they had the door to the kitchen propped open and you could see just how they prepare their food. There was also what looked like rat droppings in the corner next to our table. Yet somehow they still pulled off getting a 91 on there health score.

They deliver, but not too far. The BBQ Chicken pizza was great. When we got there, we realized we should have just gone there for dinner instead of getting take out. This is not a typical pizza place. It has a great bar and excellent atmosphere.
