The management is poor. The food is overpriced. Its too bad because marc is a good cook. Would not recommend to anyone who enjoys a good restaurant. If you want to drink wine and pay too much and pretend to be important in Wilmington NC have at it.

Me and my wife just dined at marc*s and had the worst meal I have had in years, Portions were small and tasteless , service was terrible.we are not hard to please but the whole experience was a expensive waste of time. It SUCKED!

The best food in Wilmington. Everytime I have been, no one leaves anything on their plate. I would not say the service is bad it's just a relaxed atmosphere. If your in a hurry or are one of these people who cannot display patience for something spectacular, I wouldn't bother. If you enjoy going out to eat to relax, then sit back, have a few drinks and prepare to be amazed.

Great food. Wonderrful staff. The service is very good. Food preparation and presention are excellent. The food with side pairings and sauces are thoughtful, ingenious and well prepared. A superb dining experience. The staff did not seem to be in a hurry to turn tables around. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly. I plan to return every time I am in the area. I would say that the restaurant emphasizes elegant food in a casual and comfortable setting at a great value.

I have eaten at Marc's many times.The food is fantastic! I have tried all sorts of things and when the chef recommends a temp for something that is how I eat it.Never do they dissappoint. They have been busy lately so we prefer to call for reservations now. The servers are friendly and efficient too!

Food took a hour to be served on a Wed. night. Ordered veal well done came rare. Was told " that's as well as chef would cook it".
I've eaten in some of the finest restaurants in the country and no one has ever said they wouldn't cook something as ordered. Great customer service! There are four people who won't be going back.

Wow! Wow! Wow! What a wonderful culinary find! Had a fabulous dinner...from first glass of wine to last bite of dessert. Just one suggestion...thought the broccoli rabe in the (beautifully presented ravioli) was too bitter...thought you might have been trying to achieve a contrast with the sweetness of the scallops, but it was a little off...what about swiss chard or a spinach ravioli? Just a suggestion. But loved the meal! We are so excited about finally discovering your place!!!

We go to Marc's for special occassions and have never been disappointed. The food preparation seems personal in the best of ways. We had an extra special surprise when we ate there recently on a Sunday. Wines were half price. Very nice experience. Our number one pick. Port Land Grille could learn something from this restaurant.

You walk into Marc's and you feel like your a guest at a lovely home. The atmosphere is contemporary but balanced with soothing colors and simple but elegant decor. You feel comfortable whether walking in from the beach or dressed for an occasion. Perhaps the most compelling draw is the quality of food. Marc's provides wonderful seasonal and local foods prepared in innovative ways. You can be assured you'll leave with a content belly. Service has always been attentive. Can't miss for a guaranteed great meal.

After reading the last review about Marc's I have to disagree. I love this restaurant. It is a place that I go often and always enjoy. The wait staff knows my special requests and the kitchen accomodates them. The service has always been friendly and I think they do a great job. Sometimes in a restaurant all the customers come at once and service can get a little overloaded. As a server I know how hard it can be at times and maybe you were there at a tough time. I strongly reccommend Marc's. The food is fresh,cooked to order and delicious.

As local residentw, and after having been to this restaurant multiple times, my wife and I have been very disappointed : #1 is the slow and inattentive service. It took extended time periods to get the attention of the waitstaff, who seemed to ignore simple requests for service: bread that took 20 minutes to arrive at the table, and water refills which were scarce. The food is passable but not outstanding. Judging from the many very good dining experiences which we have had, this is a huge disappointment. We are done with this establishment.

Marc's on Market is the best meal in wilmington!!
The food could not be any better. They offer all kinds of thengs from comforting classics to innovative and unusual. There is a private room for small parties and on Sunday all wine is Half off by the bottle. Do yourself a favor and find Marc's on Market in Ogden.

Excellent food; salad changes often based on what the chef makes and is always delicious. Simple decor makes for very pleasant dining, not crowded giving you space for both your private meal and enjoyment. Highly recommend - the chef is absolutely on target, desserts are excellent. A little pricey, on the other hand every meal has been outstanding. Food, atmosphere, wait staff, friendliness of owners all make this a a very highly recommended restaurant in an unusual location!
