One of Wilmington's best kept secrets! Love the food, staff and friendly atmosphere. I love the baby muffin that comes with the quiche. Food is always fresh and very tasty..

I had the pleasure of having lunch here. The in house pimento cheese is wonderful...but the real treasure was their roasted asparagus, chicken and rice soup that was seasoned to perfection...did not even add salt or pepper. Wish I could find this recipe...I'm too far away to have daily...and I would.

Not a fan---not a great atmosphere, the only "java" is coffee, and food below par.

Love the food, the staff is a good group, there are some wonderful dishes that are not found elsewhere, like the veggie quiche, which is REALLY VEGGIE! and everyday they have fresh fruit and muffins.
Good stuff.

LOVE JESTER'S!! One of my favorite places in Wilmington. I go with my family often for brunch/lunch on Sundays. They have wonderful customer service. A few weeks ago we had a new server that was above and beyond friendly and attentive. Once they gave us a free dessert because they claimed our lunch was slow to get to us, however we did not really think it was slow. They definitely aim to please and go out of the way to do so. The newcastle pimento cheese sandwich, strata, quiche and salads are among our favorites. Friendliest place I have been in Wilmington. Give it a try!!

Great menu. Quality and quantity of food is great. Found staff to be extremely pleasant. Owner very friendly and informative when we asked recipe for his delicious pumpkin muffins! Service was a little slow, but well worth the wait. Had lunch Saturday, but looking forward to going for brunch one morning.

The overly nosy people eating there make this place one of annoyances. They purposely sit and lean in towards your table to LISTEN TO YOUR PRIVATE CONVERSATIONS all 3 times I have been there. I do not suggest that you eat inside, go onto the patio and have some coffee. Why should I have to whisper more than at a library for brunch???
Just know that the poached and scrambled eggs are microwaved and will make your stomach ill if you don't normally eat from cooked plastics. The microwave leaches out something in those plastic tubs, that will make you ill. (HDPE???)
THE QUICHE AND STRADA are made in an oven at the owners and brought in I found out, and those are great. TAKE IT TO GO! OR be annoyed too! No one is safe from the Old South ways of this rude behavior. Very rude of all of them! Owner seems nice, and that helped, but still I would not go again.

The sesame bagel there is the best one I've ever had, you should definitely try it!

Jamie and his staff are the BEST! The food is out of this world.Try the BLEST,bacon, egg salad lettuce and tomato .No Better anywhere............Oh, very reasonable.

We go to Jester's about once a week. Everyone is so friendly and the food is excellent. We're so happy to have Jester's right down the street and it has been an asset to our community. While they can get busy on Saturday and Sunday mornings, you can always expect the BEST cup of coffee and freshly cooked food and the pricing is incredibly reasonable.

My daughter & I sit on their overstuffed couch & chat on Tuesdays between classes at CFCC and enjoy coffee cake, breakfast sandwiches, muffins, fruit & GREAT coffee. Either on the couch, at a table or on the front porch.Very homey place for good food & good friends. Everyone there greets us with a smile!

The food is wonderful and the staff a delight. I was so surprised to read a single bad review but as a person who once worked serving the masses, I will take a wild guess that the people claiming bad service were very rude themselves. I have eaten in Jesters too many times to count and the atmosphere is family to the max. I have never seen anyone not taken care of. The prices...amazing for what you get. I have some favorites but that desert pie that has the mandarin in it....oh my it melts in your mouth!!! Local or tourist or on business...Jesters Java is well worth the stop.

I haven't been to the restaurant, but believe me, I'll be there during my next trip to Wilmington. A friend brought Jester's brownies to us during her recent visit, and they are to die for! We look forward to sampling more fare.

The staff is fun and friendly, the many variety of bagels and toppings are great! They have yummy casual food for breakfast and lunch. Bagels with bacon, cream cheese and avacados...mmmmm
The coffee is good and it's just a friendly warm place with lots of nice folks. I eat there all the time and love it...

This business does things right.
Example: actual coffee ice cubes in the iced coffe.
Service was a little slow, but very friendly.
Great atmosphere, very clean. They obviously care about freshness and quality.
A great find!

This is my favorite breakfast/brunch spot in Wilmington. The food is consistently good and the prices are great! To say that the folks here have an ounce of racism in their bodies is absolutely absurd! Sounds to me like someone is looking for something to complain about. These folks have changed castle street from a drug riddled crime zone to a comfortable, eclectic neighborhood.

Did not get good service. Was treated very poorly by a woman that looked really unkempt. I will not be back because I did not get one smile, or a refill on my beverage. Other tables got smiles, refills and better service than my table.
NO THANK YOU!

really feel like your annoying them by wanting to get a cup of coffee. If they weren't so full of grumpy old people, it would probably rate higher on my list. Rude staff was too much for me, but the food was really good. Get it TO GO!

Great local fav.! Everyone there is great, food is ALWAYS awesome - Rob's Club is one of the best things on there. Great palce to gather w/ friends or grab a bite by yourself.

Good choices of food, friendly staff (usually, but sometimes a bad one gets in) and very small town atmosphere. Which CAN be good or bad to new customers.
I would like to see it in a larger place and have more consistency in the way the food is displayed.
It was alot more fun when it first opened. Now it seems too bias.

delicious food, fun atmosphere, and great value for the money! Jester's Java is tucked out of the way from the main streets of restaurants, but it's a great locals' favorite.

the quiche are always flavorful; served with a side of fruit that is somehow always ripe, sweet and perfect; and a wonderful square of gingerbread that's to die for.

the few eat-in tables are crowded, people getting take-outs run in and out, merchants on the streets run in for their daily lunches -- kind of fun confusion -- and worth it because the food is perfect .

enjoy!

Has a great atmosphere and is locally owned. The food is absoluely splendid! Espeically the coffee cake and bagels. Id say its one of the best if not the best places to get breakfast of lunch! So try it out!
