I read these nonsensical one-star ratings for Carl's... One just has to wonder? What.. is the motive?
Belt's is a fine place. Carl D's is same.. a fine place.
Try one of Carl's turtle Sundays. I got all the life up there frequently to consume one of these.. and thankfully she can't finish one herself LOL. We do enjoy..

Carl D's is excellent! Everything there is great! These people talking about Belt's being better need a reality check- just because they've been around longer doesn't mean squat. Carl D's has had an A cleanliness rating ever since they've opened! The soft serve is amazing and delicious!! The popcorn is great! And homemade peanut butter cups... to die for!!

The people and especially the owner is rude and pushy; ice cream is soggy no flavor. That place is a yuck.

They have been in the town for a couple years. Nothing special Ice Cream and most often soggy stale pop corn. Tried the pop-corn it was soggy and wet. I have heard from several others that that is normal for their pop corn. Not sure how they get away with tables on the sidewalks and their serving window on the sidewalks blocking sidewalk traffic. No public restrooms and it's apparent that the neighboring businesses aren't happy with this owner for sending customers to use their bathrooms. Belts is located one block north and has been established in this town since 1981 and have sponsored almost any event they have been asked to sponsor including youth sports and many local charities and groups. Stick with Belts folks!
