We used to eat at El Porton faily regularily - until last spring. I ordered the Mexican Stir Fry and when it came, it had a funny odor. My husband ordered the same food and was happily eating his meal, so I took a bite. Big mistake! It tasted like melted plastic smells. I offered my hubby a bite and he spit it out. I was given a new meal, which arrived after my husband had finished eating.
We finally went back and I ordered fajitas. Suddenly we smelled lots of smoke and sure enough, they brought out my sizzling, charred meal and took off. I tried taking the least burnt food to try while I attempted to get a wait person back. It again tasted like plastic smells. I was given a new meal, which looked good and the one bite I took was fine.
But twice - they must have left a utensil in the pan while they are heating it, let it melt, and then served me the food twice! Will not be going back!
