Walking in, the aroma of fried shrimp and home-cooked meals hit me like a warm hug from grandma, and for just five bucks, the shrimp and fries special was a steal that had all the locals buzzing. The meatloaf was a masterpiece-hearty and flavorful, paired perfectly with finely grated Coke slaw and purple hull peas that sang like a southern choir, while the strawberry shortcake was the cherry on top of this down-home feast. The lively atmosphere, run by a squad of friendly middle-aged ladies, made me feel like part of the family, and I can't wait to swing by again for another round of comfort food that hits all the right notes.

The local spot we visited had a special on fried shrimp and fries for 5 bucks, and it was packed with friendly locals. The fresh, home-cooked meal and excellent service made it my new favorite spot for a hearty lunch.

We go there for breakfast every week and love it. The service is great, the coffee is good and the good is always wonderful.
