Very Good Food and great service

I actually worked there in high school. In those days they were still cooking real pit barbecue but then they switched to rotisserie machines. I assume they're still using those.
Lee loved being the center of attention and many locals came for that and, at that time the barbecue was still good.
In those days, Lee was partners in the business with Bill Livingston. It always appeared to me that Bill was the man behind the scenes that was the 'glue' that made the business work.
That and the centralized location at the corner of 231 South and the Ross Clark circle. That point serves as a funnel to the Florida panhandle beaches. Without that location, I don't think they would have survived.

Sauce tastes like ketchup. It used to be great. Not anymore.

Felt right at home, the hospitality was incredible and the food was superb. It was a cold January Sunday and the warm food warmed my heart.

Stopped in on the way to PCB today. Ordered takeout which consisted of 4 pulled pork sandwiches, kid's chicken tenders, and 4 sweet teas. The sandwiches had just the right amount of sauce and the meat was fresh and tender. The sweet teas were selfish! Child's tenders were crispy on the outside and juicy inside.ðŸ‘ðŸ»ðŸ‘ðŸ»

I tried it for a second time because of its generations long reputation. I wanted it to be good, but it just wasn't. It took multiple attempts to obtain a sandwich without mayo. The only taste in the barely warm baked beans was onion powder. The waitresses were more concerned with there side work than my table. I went to check out without a ticket. There was no cashier, after a minute, not long , a man eating at the counter came and ring us up. I think he was the owner. Let's just say, he was very impressed with himself!

It is unbelievable that this place is still open either the people around here have bad taste buds or they are just use to bad bar-BBQ on that note this was the worse ever first of all they don't have baby backs which is a must at any GOOD BBQ place I have never seen dull gray ribs until tonight something that old I WOULDN'T feed to my dog but I ate one anyway bad mistake needless to say not even my salad mix out of a bag was awful and the old cold baked potato I paid extra for I think you get my point when I say I wasn't any better 10 min later not even the stale saltines helped. On a fare note the server was very pleasant.
