Ted's has a long-standing reputation in the Albany area for its crispy, light, and flavorful fish fry served with homemade sauces, along with excellent onion rings and clam chowder. The staff is consistently courteous and efficient, making the ordering process smooth, and the food offers solid, affordable quick dining without any gourmet pretensions.

I've been coming to this establishment for something like 40 years. Best fish fry in all of upstate New York.

Fish is freshly hand-breaded. Coleslaw homemade and of excellent quality. Ted's sweet chili sauce is not to be missed, no one else serves this sauce in the entire area. Of course, you can also get your fish with tartar, ketchup or plain.

Other menu items, such as the burgers, clam boat, chicken tenders, etc., are also really good, always served piping hot. The coffee shakes are wonderful, I might add.

Their fish and chip dinner is very generously portioned. You won't go away hungry.

Despite your order being made fresh, service is generally very quick. While the restaurant itself is not particularly posh, it's worth the effort to go there.
