The ownership has recently changed, and there have been some menu updates, but it's still a wonderful little spot. It's a convenient and fast option for a meal while traveling between Jasper and Edmonton. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the unique dive atmosphere adds to its charm, making it a must-visit for anyone passing through or in town for other reasons.

I've lived all over the world and this is my favorite place! Wonderful people, decor is old and dated but the food is beyond!!! Salt and pepper pork chop is awesome, lemon chicken amazing. My favorite is any of the combo plates excellent value for your $$$. Worked in Edson for two summers and ate here at least twice a week. Now have to drive over an hr to get here and still worth it! Never disappointed but as said decor could use a refresh.

we are from Whitecourt.. our mother in law is from Barrhead,. we drive to Barrhead.then to Edson, meet other family members at the castle and all have the bufett.. the staff always brings a large plate of shrimp for mom and a take out container for her when we got without her,, the staff asks how is Mom doing. very freindly family orientated place to eat..little pricey..but the customer appreciation days make up for that.
