This Restaurant has come along way lately, it is currently family run and operated and the food is exceptional. I really enjoyed the enclosed porch and flat screen to watch the game. I am really thrilled that the upstairs is now a Hooka Lounge and had a great over all experience. The view of the River Bed is awesome as is that of the Sandias, the authentic rustic Spanish decor makes the experience unforgettable. This is my 20 plus visit so far and the food definately has improved ten fold.

I enjoyed the meal here. I had the Fajitas. The service was good. the food was good.
10/14/2010 - Watch out for double billing!
The food was satisfactory, but when I got my credit card statement, I noticed that they double-billed me. I tried calling four times with no resolution. I finally resolved it through my credit card company...The restaurant is not worth the trouble.

I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN!!!! My neighbors and my family eat out every Friday night and we are always looking for some place new, to our misfortune we found this place last night. The waitress we were told (after things started going wrong) was new, while that might have contributed to the whole ordeal I believe that the kitchen staff needs to be retrained as well. After waiting a little too long for our drink orders and then again upon receiving our drinks and placing our orders we waited about 20mins for our food. Upon receiving my order (pulled pork sandwich) my request for no onions and no pickles was obviously not written down by the waitress. On my neighbors order the "green Chile" on the side request was not written down either. Since I am extremely allergic to onions I was put off but figured I would scrape away the onions and pickles and move on, but the waitresses attitude was such that I sent the whole plate back and did not eat. My neighbor waited 45min to have her plate fixed and even then it was so-so. They even tried to reserve her original wrong plate before she got her fixed meal. As I have managed small restaurants in my past I am usually willing to give a place another chance, but in this case while the gentleman that took over for our waitress was very nice and tried very hard to make things right, I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN!!!! As a result my drive from Albuquerque to Bernalillo was a waste of time and gas!!!!

Must have been a bad night for the last post. Been there a few times always had a very good meal and the service could improve but I have had much worse in other places.
05/18/2010 - Disturbed!
Chips were not just stale, they were burnt! Service was terrible, we saw our waitress twice, once to take our order and once to bring the food. My wife and I had the build a combo for 12.50. I had a chile relleno, beef taco, and tamale with beans and papitas and red chile on the side. The tamale was the only item with any flavor. The relleno was over-fried and greasy. The taco came in what seemed like a store bought taco shell with beef that looked old, crusted, and clumped together. My wife had the same items except an enchilada instead of the relleno, which turned out to be a block of cheddar cheese in an extremely hard crusty shell. The red chile tasted like dirt as well as the papitas and beans. The only meal worthy of consideration was my daughter's corn dog kids meal, which I would have glady eaten instead if I knew what was in store for us. My wife made a complaint to another waitress who took the complaint to the chef (a man dressed in attire more suitable to a street thug) who proceeded to rant and rave in front of the whole restaurant that his F***ing papitas are always good! This was absolutely the worst service I have ever received in my life! DO NOT EAT HERE! Try Hot Tamales on Rio Rancho Rd., infinitely better!
